In school I had a best mate who was working weekends & with the money getting his pilots license. The summer when he had to log hundreds of hours I’d tag along. A great experience! Didn’t realize how lucky I was...

He's giving you that old Hawaiian Peace Sign. Why that?

I think it was because he thought I was going to take a picture with him and instead I said I just wanted a picture of him.

Mmm, plus v11 rebuilds sometimes claim alarming weight-loss figures (“Yea, we drained the lead out of the sub frame- saved about 47 kilos”).

Looks like they retained the oe bremblub wheels and bevel....

How much can the sub frame possible weigh anyway?

And seeing as i’m feeling critical: it needs a mudguard.

Different strokes for different folks, of course.. but I've seen very few custom Guzzis that I like better than stock. :oldgit:

I'm with you Chuck, most customised bikes in general prioritise uniqueness and artistic expression over dynamic functionality. Let's face it making it beautiful OR functional is easy, combining both is where the real talent in design and engineering lies.

"Totally unusable?" True, but . . . It's such a pretty thing.

And that 1/4" stereo phono plug? That's the "ignition key?"

Now, I do love that!

And these are the "air filters?" Reminds me of my parents art deco Stewart Warner radio . . . (the air filter in my Sport is more reminiscent of something from a fish pond) . . .
