If you want to really improve the bike and save a massive amount of weight and dont mind spending money commission a elegant chain drive conversion and rid the bike of the heavy leaky inefficient POS shaft drive system altogether.

Wouldn't that be quite something!  Has this ever even been done? Or are Guzzisti too bound to their walking stick? :oldgit:

I'm thinking something like the Magni chain drive conversion for 70's MV Agustas

How would that turn 90º off the gearbox output shaft? A chain drive Guzzi . . . .

Would require a whole new rear gearbox housing with an internal bevel drive. Better in there than dangling off the back wheel.

Converting a Guzzi to "chain drive" deserves its own thread. This thread is about the care and feeding of the V11 driveshaft and its needs and peculiarities.

Such a delight how you guys are thinking outside "The Box(es)."

All cool, bud. We're all here to converse.

I've long tried to maintain a searchable archive here for the common concerns of our V11.

This driveshaft is a critical component that we must all understand and maintain well. :luigi::nerd::race:
