Wire spoke wheels for V11 wanted (used or new)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am looking for a set of wire spoked rims for a 2003 V11 Sport, 2003 originally with 5.5" rear width rims.

Could be used or not-too-expensive new ones.

Live in Norway (Europe).

Any offers, advice or information would be appreciated (have read the forums and checked the exorbitant oem prices).

Best regards

Øyvind

I tried this email twice, no dice, neither "ingo" nor

"mandello-cycles" works.

I got in touch with Mandello Cycles (Germany) by phone. They said their supplier from Spain, Akront (/ Morad) had quality problems with these rims so could not recommend them.

The Alpinas look good, however are they still made? Seems not from their web page and some forums. If anyone knows of suppliers with any left, I would be happy to see contact details.

The second hand rims from brlawson probably have a good home already.. :-)

I checked Kineo / Ghezzi-Brian earlier. Available but very expensive (€2500 + shipping + customs/vat - more than half the value of my used bike, so this option is off the table for now).

I’m not sure if you were expecting wire wheels for these bikes to be inexpensive because let’s just get that notion out of your head.
