Motogadget m-Blaze Pin LED Turn Signal

Has anyone used the Motogadget m-Blaze Pin LED turn signal?

I've always found the front signals on the Le Mans fairing to be a bit too large and detracts from the nice lines of the bike, and even smaller aftermarket units still are an aesthetic distraction.

... of course the primary function of the front signals isn't all about looks, but instead is about visibility and safety.  So one can't just get rid of them, or put some cheap flush and ill fitting signals on that sacrifice visibility.

But these Motogadget m-Blaze Pin LED turn signals seem like they could be the rare case where you get more with less.

They are ECE approved, so they aren't junk, and along with being incredibly bright from the front of the signal, they also provide much better side visibility than most OEM signals.

And of course, when mounted and not lighted, they just disappear.

One minor downside is that they can't be used as running lights like an incandescent bulb and some LED lighting.  These are either on or off.  I mean, you can wire them up as running lights, but they'll be incredibly intense.  I ran across a thread in another forum where some owners went through various approaches to make them operate more dimly as running lights to no avail.

nice find Al. They certainly seem bright enough in the video. Some LED signals I've seen or used look good lit up in photos, but not so much in reality. Many are so cheap I recently bought 3 different sets with the most d's (ebay) just to try. not impressed.

those might work as bar end signals for my Yammie

Yeah, I bought two sets of generic signals from eBay over the last few months just to do some experimentation, and I was highly unimpressed just as I had been many years ago when installing some aftermarket signals on my FJ1200.  I gave them away to a friend to use on his go-kart.

But there are some very nice, and expensive, manufacturers out there such as:

I'm considering these for the rear:

You can usually tell if these products are going to be high quality if they have European road certification.

Regarding bar-end lights, I don't know that the m-Blaze Pin is the right solution.  However Motogadget does make these:

wow. these https://www.kellermann-online.com/en/products/bullet-1000/bullet-1000-df/47/bullet-1000-dfreplace the brake/tail as well as signal. I'm not sure how I'd feel about this look without a central brake/tail light, but with these, at least the central unit could be greatly reduced in size and retain safely visible intentions. The style of these also look era correct.

will study the bar ends more... kinda pricey, but you only need 2! and, my "tracker" is notoriously 'on the cheap'                  thanks for sharing

Hi AL,

Last Summer I installed  them on my bike for the fronts. And they work incredible, I love the intensity in their directional feature, people will know you are turning. and know you are there.

I have them connected to Motone Switches on my clipons and at the moment there wasn't a module "affordably available" so that when I hit the signal button they stayed on. So they are still monetary. But there is a Module that a smart group of people build, its called, NUUT. You can buy it at Illfated Kustoms in Calgary AB. Great guys. I think this switch/box/PFM/module may allow you to have them run how you want, there are a few options for it. When I have it installed it will allow the appropriate switch to latch and unlatch.

To be clear, you're saying you like the m-Blaze pins, correct?

i ask because we also took a sidestep talking about the Kellermann light units ;)

This looks like the modules you were referring to:   https://nuut.ca/

M Blaze Pins Correct! I installed an LED Flasher Relay instead of resistors, much easier to install. I did however run into a problem that was created right at the factory. Every time I tried to install a flasher relay it wouldn't work. So I hummed and hawed at what to do, I decided to swap the wires in the wire housing that went to the relay and they were backwards. Low and behold right from the factory the wires for the incandescents were backwards, (but of course they work).  Since a diode is still a diode polarity matters. Kenny at Ill-fated is a heck of a guy and so his wife Jen. They have great techs that can offer some help if needed.

Good luck!
