Kane 51 Report post Posted December 2 I found this site with profiles of cool Guzzi cafe racer custom builds, https://www.returnofthecaferacers.com/category/moto-guzzi-cafe-racer/ . At the risk of exposing myself as a total ignoramus, I am wondering where the battries have gone on these bikes? Is there a type of stealth battery replacement that builders use to eliminate the bulky standard battery under the seat, or are these hard-core bump-start bikes? Is that a common approach or aesthetic for custom cafe racers?
stewgnu 163 Report post Posted December 2 I think they bung them either under the gearbox or in the seat hump?
po18guy 126 Report post Posted December 2 No kick start, so they can't use a capacitor. I'd say in the hump mostly, but all available room is considered. The lower the better, so under the trans is not a bad idea.
