Relays: why and how? Will it? Won’t it? etc etc

Possibly a quick query for the leccy-minded chaps on the group:

Someone was inferring on faceache that a bike (cali 1100i) that cut out when hot, but was fine when cool, may have dicky relays.

I wondered- Why would that be a thing? Working when cold, but not when the bike’s hot? 🤔

Relays get hot in use. Especially under-rated relays (common) in a high current position (ignition/fuel like Relay#5 on our V11).

We have a thread with some IR temperature testing I can probably find . . . )

Here are :notworthy: MartyNZ's relay temperature readings in ºC. Mine are a few posts above in ºF . . .
