Does anyone have a source? Other than MG Cycle, I can't seem to find them anywhere. No one seems to have the caps. Gotta get the red set...too sexy.

Thank you all!

Just Google NGK spark plug wires. I use them on my bike.

The early Sport used Champion resistor caps. Later V11 were NGK.

I have gotten the red Champions from a scooter supplier in the UK (Champion is UK, as in Albert Champion or "AC", as in AC/Delco) . . .

Let me find contact info . . .

I'm not finding that source in the UK, but web search "Champion PRO5U" and you'll have multiple sources . . .

Docc, you are the Yoda of this amazing forum. Thank you!

Guessing some disassembly is required for that, yes?

Hmmm... while I'm greasing the u joints, might as well replace the entire clutch assembly. Just a simple 8 hour (?) job...

Anyone have the OEM or Champion part number for the OEM red spark plug wires? I already found the caps and ordered them.

Grazie!

Epic thread drift. I promise to report myself to myself.

No, really, the front UNI is >approachable< on an early RedFrame. It is. It is.

Yes, what are the OEM early RedFrame red spark plug wires? I don't think these are Champion. I am also looking to replace mine. They are quite long, actually . . .

They appear to measure 7mm (7.5mm?) outside diameter.

What is wrong with this 7.5 mm solution at $1.99US/foot?

[edit: okay, shipped to me (in the USA) with taxes, five feet of this wire is $22.68US. Four feet is probably enough, but I hate to come up short. Coil end connectors must be added, but these should "screw" into the spark plug 90º angle connectors.]

From the Parts Catalog, here is the Moto Guzzi part number for the early Sport, red, "HT wire":  GU01718330
