Centauro rear drive wanted

Chuck

Recommended Posts

I was hanging out at Moto guzzi classics yesterday when a 97 Centauro rolled up on a flatbed. The rider said it did something weird on the interstate and the rear wheel locked up. I doubt that, because he was still alive.:) I told Mark that I would take a look at it tomorrow cuz he was busy on a couple of loops. Suspected the rear drive, and that was it. It is not worth trying to rebuild. The kid is in a bind if Mark can't find one.. give Mark a call at 562 986 0070

He just contacted me.. thanks!

I'll be away from this forum while I'm out in SoCal. My  ancient tablet doesn't work with this forum, and I can't do anything with a phone.. I'm borrowing the grand daughter's laptop to get on.

From Mark. It was low on gear lube. If you use the side drain hole to find the level and if you use a funnel to fill which drains toward that side of the rear drive it can flow down the threads and pour out the side hole before it's really up to that level.

always fill with measured amount and don't even take the side plug out.
