John O'Sullivan Posted October 27, 2002 Share Posted October 27, 2002 Has anybdy changed fork oil on a V 11 Scura, you know the gold ohlins units. I sincerely hope that they do not have to be removed to change the oil. I have read (from downloads on the Ohlins website) that the volume of oil is the most important factor in damping, therefore I am very slow to change the oil without full details. emry Posted November 3, 2002 Share Posted November 3, 2002 Speaking as a mechanic I have not seen a set that does not need to be removed. Normally the level is set with the fork compressed and the spring in place, this can be very ackward with the fork on the bike. Before I do mine does anyone know the volume or level that is needed?
