Guest Rustleo Posted June 9, 2004 Share Posted June 9, 2004 V11 Le Mans 02. At idle the oil light would flicker until revved up a little. It eventually began to stay light longer at idle and then became a nuisance. I replaced the oil pressure sending unit at the top of the motor. No good. I dropped the pan to shim the oil pump spring and found when removing the filter that 1/2 of the rubber seal on the filter had broken and was allowing a bleed off at idle causing the oil light to come on at idle. Cause unknown, faulty rubber? Moto guzzi filter. I paid close attention the the condition of the new filter while installing and have had no further problems.
