Guest davidb Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Instead of changing the air box top or removing it and adding pods, I decided to copy the liter bikes and force the air in . I made a fiberglass snorkle and mounted it on the right side below the tank and next to the steering stabilizer. The results are impressive. I also made my own exhaust system out of stainless. I think the major part of the performance gains are from the exhaust. The sound is quite loud, but it is a acceptable trade off. beside, the deer get the hell out of the road now that they can hear me from a mile away.
