  1. My Mistral Carbon cans are for sure a larger weave than the bodywork on the Café Sport as well. Sounds like the 1x1 is the way to go. Thanks for the research FreyZI!
  2. I’m still in. I’ve still got an outstanding open question on what weave/finish will match the factory CF bodywork on the Cafè Sport though. I’d hope to get that answered before I had to make a decision. thanks so much for keeping it going!
  3. Hi all, I've been away for quite a while and just discovered this thread and would be very interested in adding this bespoke piece to my Café Sport! I don't have that bike near me and can't measure the weave or remember the finish to say definitively what options I should chose. Does anyone have an idea on the closest match to the OE Carbon fiber and if any of the options come close?
  4. Please put me down for 2. As always, Thanks Chuck!

  6. I presume you are also performing LuckyPhil's "Shift Improvement" modifications? Yes, thats the plan. I have a new selector that I've straightened and dressed in preparation as well as all new springs, the McMaster bearing upgrade, replacement seals, and other goodies I've discovered while scouring all the valuable info here. Not that shifting has been terrible, but while I'm in there doing preventative maintenance replacing the selector return spring, why not.
  7. Thanks so much for knocking this out Chuck! Now my shifter improvement project will be complete. This will match nicely with my best ever, super deluxe, properly engineered, belts and suspenders shift return spring.
  8. @MartyNZ, Are you volunteering these efforts for NZ and perhaps Australian orders? I'll let Chuck comment on how he wants to handle lower 48 distribution if so, if we can get to the min order quantity of course. Looks like we've got some work to do to get to 10 orders. As far as I can tell we have 3 so far: Stumble_t: 1 bbolesaz: 1 Ian : 1
  9. Heya gang, In preparation for my installation of this new spring I figured I try to find one of Chuck's modified shifter linkage extender plates as outlined in this thread to dial things in shifting wise and further support the wisdom and ingenuity of those that contribute to this Guzzi community. Chuck has been kind enough to potentially offer another run of those if we can get 10 spoken for in a group buy (thanks Chuck!). I though I'd post this here considering the attention this thread generated and the related nature of the part. If anybody is interested maybe we can post in the above linked thread? Apologies if anybody finds this is an inappropriate request or the wrong place to post.
  10. This is a long shot, but considering my upcoming replacement of the new and improved shift selector spring, I figured I'd try to round that install out nicely by installing one of these bad boys as well. Is there any chance there's one available? Maybe someone has one lying around that never got installed? Spring '18 group buy perhaps? Thanks all!
  11. Paypal for 2 springs and PM Sent Scud. Many many thanks!
  12. I'm about 210 with gear. I'm going to have a talk with my suspension guy on Tuesday now that I have a clear idea where sag is. I might either replace both springs with a 10.0N/mm or just use an 11N/mm in one fork and leave the stock one in the other. I'll see what he says.
  13. I've discovered 2 heavier springs available than the 10.0N/mm while searching for replacement springs for my Cafe' Sport. I don't see a distinction on internals for the Scura, so please disregard this info if I am misinformed. Here is a breakdown of the 04745 I found while scouring the interwebz. 04745-65 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/28.7/37.5/4.4/6.5/157 04745-70 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/28.5/37.5/4.5/7/155 04745-75 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/28.3/37.5/4.6/7.5/154 04745-80 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/28/37.5/4.75/8/145 04745-85 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/28/37.5/4.75/8.5/149 04745-90 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/27.7/37.5/4.9/9/140 04745-95 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/27.7/37.5/4.9/9.5/145 04745-10 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/27.5/37.5/5/10/139 04745-05 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/27.5/37.5/5/10.5/140 04745-11 Ohlins Fork Spring 240/27.5/37.5/5/11/134 The -90 spring is the one fitted stock according to this Ohlins page. The Cafe' Sport uses the FG313 Fork. Does the Scura use the FG847? Either way, they spec the same spring. According to AF1, the -95 was stock in many Aprilia models. It seems they carry the -05, -10, and -11 but it looks like the -05 are special order. I hope this is helpful info.
  14. Today I removed the forks and shock so they can go in for a service and a re-spring for my weight. At 40mm rider sag in front and preload maxed out, I think a stiffer set of coils are in order. The rear was about the same at max preload. I also removed all the controls in preparation for fitting some clip-ons. Here's some before and after pics of todays work.
  15. Thanks coreytrevor, that gives me some peace of mind. Thats a good point footgoose. I've gotten used to that feature on my Falco's so that would be a welcome addition on the V11.
  16. Thanks for the reply footgoose Not Necessarily, But when using the OE clip-ons there is a tapped thread in the upper TC for use with the locator screw. This screw also may prevent the bars from swiveling away from their located position and of course, looks stock. I have read that considering the OE clip-ons only use one clamp bolt, it might not be a bad idea to use that screw as well to insure they stay put. The MPH risers allow you to raise the OE bars, What I'm trying to do here is replace the riser bar setup that was fitted from the factory with the other models stock clip-ons so they won't be much use to me, sorry if that was unclear. If this search doesn't pan out, I'll probably go with a set of Tommaselli's or Woodcrafts, but I want to see whats out there first. BUMP!
  17. Hello all, I'm looking to convert a riser bar equipped Cafe' Sport to a clip-on set up. Please let me know what you might have. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area
  18. Sorry Amarrache, I don't. I assume they were put on the bike around the time is was originally purchased. Maybe try contacting them directly?
  19. Thanks for the info Scud, I think I might get a set of Woodcraft's but will need to decide if I mount them over or under the triple. I think the bike could benefit from the front getting dropped a little bit and the rear raised a little helping with turn-in. I guess i'll need to get that dialed in and see how much I have left to mount under the triple. Woodcraft claims 37mm is best and the fork tapers a little under there. I've seen the Tommaselli's and they look very nice and allow for some adjustability, I'm just not sure on clearance. I wonder if anyone has had any experience with those. Chuck, I'm not entirely certain but the gooseneck that mounted all of that stuff to the frame came with the bike so it's my assumption it was changed. Good eye coreytrevor! I'll take look at it this evening. Thanks for the warm welcome and the replies gang!
  20. Hello fellow Guzzisti, As many before me have said, I've lurked here for some time soaking in the wealth of knowledge and experience contained in this forum. This has helped me tremendously in my search for a V11 so I thank all who have shared here, sincerely. My quest ended last weekend when I became the fortunate new owner of a very well cared for 2004 Cafe' Sport. I haven't owned a Guzzi previously so I really didn't know what to expect. All I can say is this bike is FUN and that exhaust note is unmatched. I'm really surprised by how much I like this bike! My only complaint is the riding position. I feel it could be greatly improved by a set of clip-ons. This particular bike had been converted to a fork mount headlamp/fairing/cluster previously and I think a set of clips and top triple from a lemans might sort it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could chime in and clarify whats necessary. Anyway, thanks all for your contributions and for helping me learn more about this great ride!
