  2. Enjoy the bike, few things might go wrong, might not, there is not a rule as quality was good in Aprilia years I can confirm speedo cable, pawl spring
  3. If I remember right diff between the ti kit and stock muff (cat version) was - ~8 kg crossover Stucchi with stock ~my hand says about the same Lithium pack batt versus my PC545 was -3.8 kg Rizzoma mirrors ~ -300gr
  4. Ehmm same happened to me about two years ago, alternator connector kind of melted. I got a new alternator and connector, no problems since then. I still cannot explain what happened though My (cheap) battery was low, I jump started the bike many times(I live on a hill lol) as I waited for an odyssey to arrive, and then as Craig describes.
  5. I tried a Leman clipon set to my cafe sport. Problem was 1/ brake lines were hitting the instruments, needs some conversion there 2/ Leman clipon have a screw which fixes the position on the top plate, cafe sport doesn't
  6. 1/Remove the tail plastic cover 2/Remove the original plate holder and the small subframe 3/Install the Cateye plate holder using the included parts 4/ Connect electric cables as shown in the picture. If in doubt or the cable colors of the light are different, using a multimeter in ohm scale check the continuity to find the earth cable (should be close to zero or zero depending on the accuracy and sensitivity of your devise). The other two cables would have bigger values. For the other two wires in volt meter scale, one would have always current as 2003+ models have no light switch, and the other would show a reading when you apply the brake as it is controlled by the brake switch. That's all.
  7. That is a part (made by rossopuro) bought from Stein dinse CATEYE-2 alu black Looks nice, good quality, but no installation or assembly instructions!!!
  8. It is not some big problem, mine does the same thing when hot. Maybe it loves winter When is fresh serviced phenomenon decreases.
  9. Sad RIP slavo drive ur twin up there
  10. Hey bud, hope I am stupid to believe facebook users and all is a sick joke If that is not a joke ....RIP guzzista (:-O
  11. I ordered a new one, still waiting. About two scales I am sure, my Cali does the same. Both have the pump in tank. thnx
  12. I remember that my fuel light(reserve) had two scales, soft glowing first and then full. Last three months it stays at the first scale which is hard to see in daylight. I know there is a sensor on the fuel pump, any info on that?
  13. Cannot that be, unless butterflies are kept open by the rod(over shortened through the previous adjustments). Good place to start with is both screws backed off, rod disconnected, bypasses fully closed(clockwise) If you still have fast idle... My 2cents
  14. TPS 0 position is 150mv +-15mv, maybe you could play a little with that? When rod is disconnected what is your idle?(unless you use one screw method where the rod keeps open the right butterfly) If so decrease left screw to the desired idle and rebalance. Last idea- have you cleaned the injectors? Fast idle could be the result of less fuel-more air. Sorry if I am no help.
  15. Friend of mine has done that to his V11sport 2000. Reason was he removed air box and used pods. Temp sensor could not read properly out of air box, Ecu got wrong readings, bike misfired etc Solved the prob by using tape to cover the sensor, then started opening holes on the tape until bike worked OK Not really elegant solution, but it works ever since maybe it was just luck though
  16. Fixed instruments are a problem. Tried a clip on set on my cf and could not find a position where cables and brake hoses clear the clocks. No cheap mod if you have to buy new instrument plate, nose fairing, maybe shorter brake hoses Would like to see your solution maybe I missed something
  17. My cafe sport has a handlebar instead of clipons and no locator hole on the upper plate as it is not needed. I tried a set of borrowed clipons in a track day and had no problem with slippage though I had a serious problem of turning ratio as the long cables and brake lines were hitting the instruments in any position I tried
  18. one more option is the v11 cafe sport same bike- different names and colours
  19. Any aftermarket 12v socket? or alarm? Don't think ecu drains the batt but I am no expert
  20. Though V11 brakes lack initial strong bite, they are strong When traction, tires etc is good, lack of initial strong bite gives you the advantage to break heavy right from the beginning. It is a heavy bike, true, but brakes are OK once you get used to the way they perform.
  21. Last ten years I commuted with my Guzzi in Athens(about 15.000 km/year), which with an average consumption of 6.5lt/100km means 975 lt/year. Recently I bought a 250cc scooter for commuting, 3.5 lt/100km average consumption = 525lt/year for the same km. It is depressing to ride the "thing" , but with fuel prices the way they are and salaries going down I tend to forget the pleasure I took riding at work on a Guzzi. Happy new year
