I just watched the Troy Bayliss story movie on Netflix last night. Good show.

I picked up all three pieces for the Tenni, which allowed me to remove the hugger completely. The swingarm is a nice piece and now its visible, cleans up the rear of the bike a lot. Protection from the elements is superior to just having the hugger in place. Highly recommended!

impressive. Does vdo make a white faced model to replace the veglias should i ever need one?

I'm a bit busy to post pix of mine but this might help: two plastic bits on each side. unscrew them and place one on each end of the top rail. orient them so you can adjust the screws with the bags on the bike. One goes in front of the bag, one behind to keep it from sliding fore and aft during riding. that's it. tighten them down when you have the bags where you want. hope that helps.

just curious, did you buy the set new or used? I thought these were long out of production.

Now that is a smokin' deal. If I didn't already have a Penske with remote, I'd go for that one. I would venture to guess that 99.9 percent of street riders are not going to require the extra capacity of the reservoir. Good find!

Great idea, wish I could be a part of the group buy but my Tenni came with a Penske. I must say the shock performs very well on the street and some limited track (not race) conditions. I don't know if you can get a group buy with Penske, and if the price is any better but its just a thought. Good luck.

Congrats on the new bike. The slave cylinder/bleeder is located in front of the rear wheel on the trans. I highly recommend a quality power bleeder ( like the one from Griot's garage). I don't know about tire sizes on that model, but mine had a 180 stock which works well for me.

I just completed a 2000 mile trip on my Tenni, including a day at the track. No problems.

I'd like to see some ways to mount a gps on the Lemans models with clipons and fairing. While I own 4 gps units I have figured out a clean way to mount one on the LeMans without obstructing the other instruments. Is there a way to make use of the mirror mount threads near the fluid reservoirs, I wonder?

I had a great time too. It befuddles me to think that with such an enthusiastic group of folks we had a minimal showing in my view. I suspect everyone has a reason not to attend a rally, or even a track day-and they certainly shouldn't go unless it is within their heart to do so. But I think that when people verbally or otherwise commit to going and end up as no-shows, it puts a downer on the event to some extent. It also discourages people who would otherwise be willing in the future to take on the massive task of making it happen in the first place. Anyway I know that I had a great time meeting old and new friends, and particularly getting a chance to see what a Tenni can do on a track with a slow poke rider aboard. I even got to watch my brother hustle his loaded 1150RT around the asphalt. Thanks again Todd and the crew at Veloce. And in case any one will be going to the Oregon State rally in August, I'll see you there.

I went with diablo stradas in 120 and 180 sizes last week for the Tenni. I took the bike to a track day and they stuck quite nicely, very predictable and stable at high speed. I then rode 1000 miles home with no appreciable wear. Me like.

After the track day in conjunction with the National Rally in Malibu, I noticed that the intake manifold gasket on the left cylinder is leaking oil. I can't ride the bike home this way (about 900 miles) so I am hoping that a new intake manifold gasket will solve the problem. Any suggestions as to the cause and/or cure are appreciated. BTW the bike continues to run very well if that matters. Al

try to remove the fairing in one piece. same with reattachment. remove the lower two pieces and pull the black inner cover.if you can get to all the screws it should all come off intact. also remove the tank prior to the fairing. good luck.

Sorry about the picture quality, its my cell at night. You'll need to rotate your head to see better too. You should be able to search under "edge" and get some results.

A few months ago when I removed the wheel from the Tenni, I couldn't help but notice how slim and aesthetically pleasing the rear end of the bike became after removing the stock hugger. The swingarm and braces are quite nice pieces actually and being able to see more of the rear tire lightens up the look back there. So, I ordered the three available pieces from forum member Edge to fit on the bike. One covers the battery tray from road slop, the other the shock and the lower one covers, well..the rest. I was kind of skeptical but you know these pieces really are effective at keeping the back end of the bike clean. They are pretty easy to install as long as you remove the wheel and battery tray. Really nice engineering and quality instructions. Anyhow it was a great bargain indeed and while this topic has been addressed before, it is something you might want to think about if the hugger bugs you as did mine. Nice job, Edge!

Have you upgraded the relays yet?

Interesting...I tried to hear the noise on my last ride and could not get it to reappear. Don't know if it matters but your '04 has a different clutch than mine(single plate).

I noticed today that as I let the clutch out from a stop, there is a squeal toward the end of the clutch lever travel. If it was a car I would guess throwout bearing. Any ideas? Of course this happens practically on the eve of the National. Should it need immediate repair it is unlikely I'll get the part(s) and get them installed in time.

I am upgrading the cheesy bullet connectors on the clutch wires under the tank. Can't remember if black/white goes to white or black? Can you recall off hand if you have been under there recently? Thanks much.

I bought one a week or so ago from MPH (site sponsor plug). About $173 with the new gaskets as I recall. I hope to get it installed in the next couple of weeks.
