  1. thanks everyone, asked the guy at my local dealer today (who's is a bit of a guru and fixer of my bodges) and he reckons it will fit, but is quite anti PC's. He mention's that he has a better piece of software that now that can read / adjust throttle bodies more accurately via the standard ecu, so may look into that as well. Will keep you updated
  2. Hi everyone, Have found a Power Commander 3 for sale in the UK. Model number is 706-411. It's for a MY2000/01 V11, but I'm wondering if it will fit my Tenni. Can anyone let me know if they have this model number fitted to a later V11 Thanks
  3. Hello, Thought I had posted on this thread when I got my Tenni in April last year (2009), also from Moto Strada Number 18 More details and photos on my page

  5. Rear shock now fitted.. Ride height much improved is first impression... Cost (for those that are thinking of going same route) was less than £1,000 all in
  6. has been maxton'd

  7. Finally got the FBF filter kit fitted... Import from US was via US Postal Service and can be tracked online (in case anyone else from the UK is thinking of getting one).. My local Guzzi dealer had never seen one before.. Have to admit; it is noisy. Haven't had it on the dyno yet, so will have to see if it's positive or negative gains in the temperate Essex climate! Thanks for the replies and tips for my original post.
  8. All sorted... Shock fitted (ride height much improved).. BMC filter kit on ('interesting' sound) and have located some quick release fuel line connectors Thanks again for the replies!
  9. Hello, Thanks for the reply (and the other stuff under my 'tank removal' post) Can't wait to 'feel the difference' with front and rear sorted! Have you gone the same (maxton) route? Cheers!
  10. Thanks for all of the replies! Will let you know how I get on. Quick release idea looks a good un! Cheers!
  11. Rookie Mistake? Have had a delve into the archives, but couldn't find a related topic (maybe it's because it's so easy?). I was planning to remove my tank yesterday. I followed the workshop manual, but when I undid the RH hose clip I started leaking fuel. Further inspection revealed that the pressure adjuster does appear to be a tap (at least I could turn the lever at the base, but I'm not sure if this is the case. I know the tank was off when the bike was serviced earlier in the year, so i'm assuming it's a simple job. Just want to be able to do it without getting fuel all over the garage floor. V11 Tenni btw Thanks for any help and apologies if this IS a really stupid question!
  12. Another long overdue update. Had my forks rebuilt and a new shock by Maxton. Forks are back on, but i'm debating whether to fit the shock myself for two reasons: Tank Removal: is there a way to do this without getting petrol over me and the bike? Torque settings: I spent half a day printing out the owners manual and part catalogue from the tractor guy (very useful), but compared to other WSM's I have used (not Haynes, hemanufacturer ones) I am frustrated by the lack of info around torque settings. I refitted the forks and front assemblies working on similar numbers to my other bikes. Does anyone have the recommended settings for the kind of stuff you find yourself always doing, e.g. wheels, calipers etc. ??
  13. A long overdue postscript to my original post.. I went to my local dealer (Newcombe Bros in Chelms ford) and told em' about the problem. Turns out I had a stuck valve! Says a lot about the engine that it was still running well enough to run at speeds of up to 100 without complaint. They fixed it easy enough and the hose issue is no more. Plus the bike is running much better.. Wouldn't have had a clue until taking it in, so I figure i'm going to keep my home maintenance to the stuff I can see!
  14. thanks for the replies guys... much appreciated I have used k and n's on previous bikes (and cars) and always felt they were a cost effective mod. I'm planning to fit a power commander as well and will feedback on any dyno work on the original thread once that's done. I figure I can always go back to the standard air box if I need to. I'm also interested to see if I get a similar effect to carb icing with this mod, as I have suffered this on cars and bikes (more so at night). Of course this might not be an issue with throttle bodies / efi I guess?
  15. Hi Skeeve, I did do a search yeh.. Have read the various pinned posts (e.g. pods v filter mods). I was assuming that it would fit., but as it's going to involve me importing it from the US, I wanted to make certain. I have read Ivan Falloon's Guzzi History and one thing that does come across is that their were small mods each year to the V11. I'm also finding that while there are quite a few 'hop up' parts available for the 1064cc engine, they are more often than not listed for the V11 sport only. I'm quite happy to email a supplier and ask them if a part will fit my Tenni, but I would hope that asking for feedback on here would help me corroborate the info also. Hope that has established me as not too lazy now
