  2. They are longer than the stock Sport/Le Mans items Moto International normally keeps them in stock because they are so handy for "bar raising" endeavors. $26.62 for clutch hose, $54.77 for front brake. http://www.motointernational.com/store/brake-hoses--fittings/front-brake-hose-for-ballabio https://www.motointernational.com/store/lever-blades-hydraulic/clutch-hose-for-ballabio
  3. Thank you for posting your results with the Apex bars, Steve! I just happened to be wrestling with what direction to take for a similar bar change on my '02. I was considering the same suspects as you...Woodcraft, Convertibars, and Apex. After seeing your results, I'm going with the Apex Riser bars as well. I have already ordered them, along with a Ballabio brake hose for some extra length. I do know that I am not going to be able to route the clutch hose as you did. In my case it will need be routed behind the tree. Probably a difference between '02 and '05. Then again, it is highly likely that no two of our era Guzzis were built exactly the same.
  4. Like Dazguzzi, I have the Ventura rack system. I love the flexibility because you can fit the pack rack, a normal type tail rack or just a grab bar depending on where/how you intend to ride. Change out takes less than a minute. It is a very well engineered product. The soft side bags in the photo are only used when camping. The Ventura bags hold more than enough for staying at hotels when touring.
  5. I purchased my '02 Le Mans from fellow board member Edge (Richard Edginton) with Buell pegs and Two Brothers Racing handlebar risers already installed. It still seemed a bit "contortionist" for my old bones so I purchased and installed the Motratech control kit. That made a major improvement, but I started getting greedy/picky. I thought I would like the position just a bit less forward and maybe a touch lower. Which is exactly what the Buell pegs do! Thinking it could not hurt to try, I put the Buell pegs on (a 5 minute job since the Motratech uses the stock Guzzi peg mounts) and rode about 230 miles. Very comfortable! For me this is just the ticket. I am 5'10" tall but have a short (for my height) 31" inseam. I do not think this setup would work nearly as well without handlebar risers as your hip to torso angle would probably be bent too far forward for comfort. The Two Brothers handlebar setup is no longer available, but the MPH riser kit or Convertibars would work equally well.
