  1. I had the same problem on the 2003 Lemans I bought. I think it's MPH cycles that sells the stainless steel collars that will fix the problem. Around $70 if I remember right. Dave
  2. I'd be interested in a pair as well if we could get enough people together to put in a second order.
  3. Bike is SOLD. Clip-ons and peg relocation setup went with the bike as well as the luggage.
  4. Another pic showing the trimmed chinpad. I also had a question about non-E gas. Yes, I only use non-ethanol premium.
  5. I had a request to post an underseat picture.
  6. 2002 Lemans, 34k miles. Red/Silver. Has bar risers installed, the stock clip-ons included with sale. Pegs are in stock location but I have the moto-bits peg relocation kit which was on the bike when I bought it, I prefer the higher peg location. Has Hepco Becker side bags and top trunk. Will sell with luggage or without. Throttlemeister cruise control (throttle lock). Very few defects. Minor tank bubbling, some engine paint flaking. Runs excellent. Asking $4500 without bags, $5000 with luggage. Dave
  7. I have bought Buell parts for my Lemans in the past. I think it was turn signals that I needed. The Buell pieces were exact matches to the parts on the Guzzi but at about 25% of the price. I think the turn signals with the smoked lenses cost around $7 each. Now that Buell has been shuttered for many years I wonder if you'll be able to find these mirrors any longer. I know the last time I stopped by the Harley dealer for a Buell turn signal they said they didn't have any Buell parts in stock.
  8. I just ordered a set of these from Mike at MPH cycles. The price is now $49 per set. He says he has a few more sets left in stock before he has to have more of them made. If you want a set without waiting for another batch you should grab them now.
  9. Al, thanks for tracking down the stainless steel gaskets from MPH! I had ordered the standard gaskets and was in the process of trying to install them, which hasn't been a lot of fun. I'm going to halt that process and wait for the MPH parts to arrive. It's still awful weather here so it won't mean missing out on any riding to wait.
  10. Is there any chance another run of these could be made? I know this is from a very old post but wondering if others on this forum would have an interest in restarting this?
  11. The decal is under the clear coat. The problem I'm seeing is that pretty much the entire decal has bubbles underneath it, so it really isn't stuck down at all. And it's a BIG decal. So far there are no perforations thru the clear coat and decal but if you aren't careful around the area, it seems like it would be easy to damage that loose paint and sticker. I don't think there is any adhesive left on the backside of the decal at all. Since I plan to keep this bike for the long term I just was hoping there might be a way to fix the tank. Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye out for NOS decals, or might have to get a new one made.
  12. Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been lurking on this site for years and finally decided I should start posting. When I saw the craigslist ad for this Rosso only 35 miles from home I knew I needed to jump on it really fast. I called the owner the day it was posted, went to his house the next morning and put down a deposit and didn't even think about trying to quibble over the price. He had multiple people calling him when I was looking at the bike so I knew I had to make a deal really quick. My 2002 Lemans runs and rides really well but this new one is just a little bit better in all categories. The ti exhaust sounds amazing, the tune is spot on, has a bit less vibration and lots of eye appeal around the dash especially with the rizoma reservoirs, black faced dials, and Ohlins forks. With having purchased a 2008 BMW R1200RT recently, the BMW will now be my long distance tourer, and the Rosso Corsa will be the "special rides" bike from now on. I'm going to start to investigate what it will take to bring the tank paint back to 100%. Is there a source for the decals MG used on the Rosso Corsa?
  13. Hey fellow V11 MG fans. That would be me that bought this Rosso Corsa recently. I've been looking for a Rosso for a long long time. It was so exciting to ride it home. It is a really special bike with absolutely no flaws except the bubbling decal on the left side. It did come with the red valve covers as well. As was guessed, the previous owner liked the look of the dark gray covers and swapped those onto it. Now I have a 2002 red/silver Lemans that will need sold. My 2002 has the full Hepco Becker luggage setup including tail trunk, power commander, Leo Vinci carbon fiber exhaust and runs awesome. I'll list it here when it gets a bit warmer. Dave
