:notworthy: That is an amazing list

Congratulations. Looks like it will be a fantastic day.

There is no possibility of even starting a list like that over in this faraway outpost of Europe.

96 registry's so far. When we reach more than 110 registries we are going to have a day with only Guzzi's and other Italian Bikes. We hope to get about 70-80 Guzzi's on the track. That will be great :race::bier:

Drivin from Belfast will be quite far indeed. From the south of Brittain its possible to return the same day, when you use a trailer or a van.

Unfortunately it is indeed too far to travel for a day,

but what I meant was that it is impossible to even imagine creating a list like that, over here.

If I was to organise a Guzzi track day, there might be maybe 1, 2 or 3 bikes on the list, with a few more to watch.

It's amazing to imagine as many as 70, or 80 or 100!! all together – and at the track!

You will have to make a sound recording.

Wow! Looks like you guys had a wonderful day despite the rain. Seeing so many Guzzis gathered in one place is rare so thanks for sharing, Guznax

I really fancy the white Le Mans (5:06 - 5:39 mins), that's a cool looking motor! Could be an upcoming paint scheme for my Scura when I get my new aluminium tank from John Williams/The Tank Shop primo March, inshallah.

Good luck with your event and I'll be looking forward to more mouthwatering video clips.

Cheers

Søren

I've been to a Guzzi only trackday in the UK and we had a great turnout, in Angelsey in 2001. Problem is that the Guzzi Club GB ran this event at a loss so they were understandably not keen to do it again. The next event was hosted by Jamie Whitham's Speedfreaks and even though there were a fair few Guzzis (including Ashley Law's TT Tenni) the numbers were made up by the usual nutters on GSXRs.

I sometimes wonder if there is potential to create a Guzzi Sporting Club UK, for those interested in the more sportier models, racing and track days, because most of the Guzzi Club GB guys dont seem to be into the sportier side of riding.

Maybe to keep it simple those of us who are interested should get together now and then, for example like we did at Cadwell a few years back where a small group of Guzzisti includes Gyles (R.I.P) on his MGS01 had a great day by simply joining in with a normal scheduled trackday.

There is a thread on UK Club forum for a while now asking if anyone would be interested in a Guzzi trackday. It got ONE response - mine. Unfortunately, I am very unreliable - so if it was raining or cold, or I had to work, there may be zero riders turn up on the day & I don't think the organiser wanted to take that risk...

I love track days, but it's quite an effort to get out & I rarely do them. Family & work take precedence & nowadays I feel a bit vulnerable sat in the paddock amongst all the vans & tyre warmers on my only transport home.

I tend to tag on to an open trackday at the last minute (when I see the weather's looking good) - & that sort of attitude is no use to people planning a day. It'd be nice to be out with other Guzzis, but as BFG has recently been saying, it's about attitude & being out there, not the make of bike you ride, I kind of like being the weird old duffer in the corner on his unheard of antique, & the puzzled looks.

I remember that day MGCGB did at Ty Croes. My gearbox had blown up & I only got it finished that morning but I rode up to have a look anyhow. There were some interesting bikes there, & I guess they're mostly still around but are the rider's past it? How many people do you reckon in UK are into sports Guzzis, or running tuned/modified bikes?

I notice you no longer visit the UK forum, Guy. Seems anyone with a sporting interest seems to drop out after a while. The central clique there do not appreciate sportsbikes & are pretty discouraging. It's a shame & I've often thought similar to you - set up some sort of umbrella for those interested in that side of things. I think we need to do a bit of work on the name tho...any suggestions BFG? Tell you what, I'll start a new thread....

GUZZNAX: HOPE YOU ALL HAVE GOOD WEATHER & A GREAT DAY!

Suggestion? Yeh...

'GUZZNACKERED'.

PS I asked a question on MGCGB a couple of days ago – but you can't see it, cos it's in the Members Only forum.

PPS Why have you an apostrophe in 'the rider's past it?'?

– Hmmm that quotation led to an interesting use of a double question mark.
