This got me thinking about how much our Texas members > RIDE >> :race: :bike:

Maybe trying to " . . . lose those Lone Star Blues . . . " :sun:

(How many celebrity "stars" do you see in this video?)

Why don't I hear this good stuff on XM radio?

I'll be doing the Grand Tour of Texas, probably September, ending here;

I was stuck for 2 days in a car with only FM radio when this song was on heavy rotation...still cringe a bit.

Somewhere or other, maybe here, "Captain Kangaroo" came up. Having know the name for quite a while, but not exactly what it was, I looked it up. Quality television, no doubt. B)

I know the name from this song. Having found out what "Captain Kangaroo" entails, I like the song even more. :grin:

PS: "playing solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51". Brilliant...

My grandmother's wallpaper was flowered in my CK days. Well of course it was. She was a big solitaire player too.

The bad thing about buying these LPs , you can never remove the plastic. I got my best friend Revolver and Rubber Soul and I can't remember if they were German , Russian or Japanese . The bad thing : once they were opened they became just a vinyl record.

I tried to reduce that quote so it takes up less space, but I can't figure it out.:huh2:

Whatever, what I wanted to say is that the Doonesbury comic is quite funny, but that the other two links that came with it are crap.

The "by u/Continuity Error" link is (in my humble opinion) political bullshit with a tendency to right-wing , and the "audiophile" link is wankers showing off what they have as a hi-fi system in their lounge room. Maybe good stuff, but as an audio professional I just can't take that seriously. B)

All I meant to do was a make a joke about records vs electronic media.  I intended to post a recent Doonesbury cartoon that I remembered and thought would be funny.  The link was the only image that I could find on the 'net.    I didn't see the other links your cite and don't see them now.

Anyways, apology.  I don't like as you describe political bullshit or wankers as well.  So we're in agreement..  (You might not notice that I've generally refrained from posting music here for the reasons you've cited.  I made an exception for the passing of Sly and Brian.)
