When I was little , I used a Hula Popper . Up into my 40s we started using a Bomber fishing lure . that bomber was almost cheatin' .  One time I caught TWO bass on the plug at one time .One on the front treble hook and on one the rear . These were probably  20oz fish , but I felt like a man !

For crappie , everybody used doo-jigs The stupid thing w/them, the darker the sky or water , the darker the jig .

Classic "fish story" . . .

We all understand , you keep your mouth SHUT in your own county about where you go , what you're usin' , how deep you're fishin'. what time you go , ANYTHING concerning fishing .

Remember, most of Dale Hollow Lake is located in the State of Tennessee. The only section of lake in KY happens to be where the Lodge is located. Calling it a KY only event is not exactly 💯 we plan on riding great roads in both wonderful states. 🤔

Well, I still think we should loop out of The Lodge Saturday morning and take the bikes across the Cumberland River on the free ferry.

Bring yer poles, but fish fast. The river is pretty narrow up there . . . ;)

That's the late, great Dennis Kristof admiring -- as was quite appropriate :D -- my Griso.

FWIW, the river was not narrow that day after some late spring rains.

These kids caught this thing in a stream you could leap Across  (Minnehaha creek) they roped it by the tail and dragged it out. Fish was released fine after taking the pic.
