I suppose it worth mentioning that, on the hunt for various V11 parts and pieces, Curtis Harper told me he has "one of those special V11 computers."

Titanio ECU ? I thought about getting it just to say mySport has one. Then thought better of it, thinking someone out there might really want/need it . . .

So, call Harpermoto if you have been looking for a Titanium ECU.

Failing memory :oldgit: says the Titanium ECU is the same except just a little richer across the board.

That's my recollection, in that there isn't anything special about the Titanium ECU other than the map.

That being said, just from general commentary over the years, I suspect that MG improved the map for the V11 over time, and of course the Titanium ECU map is designed for less restrictive exhaust.  So if someone has a mostly stock bike but has added aftermarket exhaust; then fitting a Titanium ECU might bring some benefit without any other tuning required.

There are several 15M ECUs on eBay right now, but they aren't super economical :(   .... $250-400 USD

While I also recall that the Titanium map is "a little richer across the range", the other notable difference is that people generally want more money for them. :nerd:

Thanks for all the links, Al. Except that none of those are for a V11 Le Mans or Sport. While the 15M ECU is likely the same, wouldn't we have to write the correct map to it for this application?

Yes, you'd have to replace the map with a V11 map I assume.

I also believe that is the case. If I remember rightly, I think I read something to that extent in the German forum, and that it is possible. I reckon Paul Minnaert would know for sure. :huh2:

In that case, random 15M ECU should be selling for $60US. To someone with the tools, knowledge, and resources to remap them. :nerd:

Sadly, that is not what our member is looking for. More of a "known good (V11 Le Mans/Sport mapped) ECU" to confirm his is actually not the problem.

Hmmm, does he have another V11 owner in his vicinity that might be willing to lend him the one out of his own bike for a test?

No. He was hoping one of us had a spare in our pile to share.

A spare ECU is one thing I do not have in my pile . . .

I have one, but not sure if it is for/from a V11 Sport, and not sure what state it is in.   I'll have to go look in the garage to see what model # it is.  I bought it from somewhere, probably 10+ years ago, so have no real idea..

I was keeping it to at some point copy the configuration from my TLM tuned-for-dual-plugged-heads-15M (ignition retarded, that's it) to this other 15M as a spare in case I ever fried the TLM unit

If it is helpful, I'm happy to loan it.

So very generous. :bier:

Carries the original 2002 map?

I honestly don't know... I got it "used" at some point.

But it says "V11 Sport" on it, and back then none of us were remapping the ECU as far as I know ;)

So I think it should have a valid normal V11 Sport map on it, from what year I'm not sure.  Can we tell the model year from the numbers on the ECU?

P.S.

Once I completely familiarize myself with GuzziDiag and EEPROM reader/writer, I'll likely be asking for help from the experts if/how I can clone (copy) both the fuel and ignition maps from my TLM modified ECU to this one as a backup.  It seems clear so far from my partial reading the various GuzziDiag threads that the fuel map can (is typically) what is copied, but it isn't clear to me if that includes the ignition map as well.
