share your tips and tricks to make your Guzzi immaculate and shiny? any one with "V100 Total Cycle Cleaner" experience?

I have never purchased any specialized product if excepted to dress the leather in my four wheeled vehicles (when there is any... leather).

My usual method is a bucket filled with water and dish washing liquid, and one of those big natural sponges.

For the Guzzis, I use Motul shiner on the plastic parts. That's usually good enough. I also have some Motul insect remover.

Once I have completed the soapy part, I rinse with a simple garden hose in shower position, and I dry the bike with a corded air duster. Not as effective as compressed air, but considerably cheaper and can be used for many applications.

Thereafter, I use the "peau de chamois" which is also known over here as "Chamois".

Some of the grime, such as where the Le Mans seeps oil is difficult to remove with just the dish washing liquid. The WD40 works but it is a bit excessive.

The good people at Iron Power Supply suggested to use something named V100 "Total Cycle Cleaner". Does anyone know if this is just another cheap marketing product, or does it really work?

Great topic! We all have our pet products by now. I just finished wiping down mySport in anticipation of the SSR XX in a few days. Cleaning a machine is a perfect way to get eyes and fingers on and around every surface for a chance of discovery (loose fastener, loose connector, bad wire routing, etc).

For cleaner/polish, with a carnauba finish, I have long used RGS Labs FW1 FastWax. I was skeptical at first, but it has won me over for many years, now. Their glass cleaner checks out, as well.

For hard plastics (not painted) and clear plastic lenses, Sumner Laboratories 210 plastic cleaner is amazing.

Rubber? Why, Shin Etsu grease, of course!

I used to replace my natural chamois every year, but switched to "artificial (PVA) chamois" many years ago. They harden stiff when dry, but are soft and supple when wet and resist thinning or tearing over many years of use.

I'll have to look for that Motul Insect Remover . . .

Yes, it does work..comma but..(Hagen content) don't leave it on for any length of time, it is caustic. Spray it on, rinse it off immediately, and it will be fine for a quick clean up including oily road grunge.

I just cover my naked self in baby oil and glitter, tie a brilo pad to my knob and writhe all over the motorbike.

It may not clean it up a lot but it guarantees that the space surrounding it is empty and devoid of admirers so as long as the bike works who cares?

S-100 is German strength. It will matte some of the finishes on the bike, like the rear footpeg hangers.  "A friend told me." I now use the Chuck-Docc approved SuperClean on nearly everything. A small electric (low) pressure washer does good in rinsing it off.

I use it for many many things. Cleaning the bugs off helmets and visors, the brake dust off bike and car wheels, and the whole bike really including the paintwork and screen. It's the racers bike cleaner in a toolbox at the track and has been for over 40 years for me.

A good quality Ceramic all in one spray clean and wax combo after the washing makes a nice shine and much easier to clean the next time also…

Fair warning, from a guy that learned this the hard way:

SuperClean is also good at removing/softening adhesives like those pesky glue residues that remain when some info-sticker has been removed.

Yet, also adhesive wheel weights and our precious SpineFrame eagle medallions . . . 

S-100 was so corrosive to fastener finishes on one of my bikes, I swore it off.
