I’m tempted.. trans leak, could be the weep hole between block and tranny?

I better go check it out.. what else should I look at with that mileage?

Holy Moly that's no mileage at all. You could part it out and make a profit.  Put a crowbar on your wallet and do it! These are tanks and handle great, if need be, sort out the throttle bodies and ride it .  My $.02  If you don't like it, sell it to Huzo over at Wildguzzi

Hard to go wrong at that price 
 

But I would be checking that the tranny leak is not the result of a cracked case

At that price, if it is that and more cost and effort to repair than it is worth, the rest of it would probably bring in the purchase price as parts. As long as one has the patience to wait for the buyers.

And the "tranny leak" might  also be the infamous breather hose from up near the steering head to the back end of the motor. When the back end of that goes, it can easily be mistaken for a leak on the input side of the gearbox. 

 

Definitely go and look at it.

Although I strictly refuse to be involved with that mob, I could see this. The site apparently "knows" that I am in Germany, but I have translated:

Cool bike. Starts, runs, shifts beautifully. Has a minor oil leak coming from the transmission somewhere. Other than that, great bike. Not interested in trades.

Here are some pictures. They are linked from the facebook site, so they may become unavailable in the course of time. For that eventuality, suffice to say that they show a Greenie, but no details of interest.

EDIT: regarding "details of interest", it has a fairly ugly bikini fairing, but that could no doubt be easily relegated to "things that once were"...

It wasn't meant to be. Who knows what might turn up instead, or why it would not have been a good thing.
