Do that if it is really buggered. But you may be able to save it by just cleaning all the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, and maybe snugging them up a bit. As long as nothing is showing signs of melting. Edited November 17 by audiomick 3

Worth addressing these first before replacing the entire fuse block . . . 2
Kapiti kiwi Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 One of the tabs the positive wire goes on is a bit dodgy seems a bit loose and unstable. if you wiggle it the power goes through circuit but randomly drops out 2

Ok, you might be able to fix that just by squeezing the connector together a bit with a pair of pliers. Or replace the connector with a new one. Or are you referring to the tab on the bottom of the fuse holder that the connector plugs on to. 2
Kapiti kiwi Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 Yeah the tab on bottom of fuse box its quite loose 1
audiomick Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Oh, that's a pity. Have a good look at it anyway. Maybe there is something you could do to save it. A very quick search indicated that the fuse box might not be still available. Replacing it would not be impossible, but would be a bit of effort, I reckon. If you could refurbish the one you have, that would be the easy way out.
Tomchri Posted November 19 Posted November 19 No more obtainable from Guzzi. Found a shop (factory) in the US, so bought 2. They are having a pit stop in NY at my wife's sister residence. If needed will look. Cheers Tom. 1
Kapiti kiwi Posted November 29 Author Posted November 29 So it appears it’s the actual part that holds fuse I tried tightening it seemed to work I’m going to try slightly bowing fuse tab so it’s tighter in holder 2

If so, you will almost certainly have to"re-tension" the female blades in the fuse holder. With the proper tool, one may be able to release the locking tab on those blades and left them up where they may be pinched to ensure good contact before being snapped back in place. 3
gstallons Posted November 29 Posted November 29 You may as well learn how. You will eventually be doing it full time. 1
