Lucky Phil Posted November 25 Posted November 25 (edited) I'm getting too old and have too many old injuries to push bikes up narrow ramps onto trailers. One slip and I'd be gone. Not enough brute strength to muscle a heavy bike around anymore. Same gos for carting heavy stuff around on the trailer such as furniture and things you need to lift onto a regular box trailer. So last weekend the wife and I drove to Adelaide South Australia and had a nice weekend in the city and picked up our new trailer on Monday morning and drove home. Round trip 1700klms. Scroll down to February 26 2024 to see it in action. It will also carry a lathe and milling machine when the time to move comes. Separately that is. https://www.facebook.com/moderntrailersAUS/ Phil Edited November 25 by Lucky Phil 1

Bill Hagan Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Great. Understand the travails of aging! Don't "do" FB, but found main website. Not sure which one you have (but just read audiomick's post; will look again) but trailers are great for all sorts of m/c and non-MC tasks. There are countless vids on the web of "fails" while loading motorcycles onto pickups -- and a trailer or two. I have an Aluma MC-10, and its been a champ, especially WRT to loading, given its low height and long, pull-out ramp. I like to have someone around as a "spotter," but I have gone up and down it with all of my Guzzis without issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogef-9NRJ-o Added a Condor chock -- https://tinyurl.com/Condor-Wheel-Chock -- and, with careful strapping (and prudent driving) all is well ... even when towed by my mighty Honda '09 Fit! Trailers are nice, too, when friends get stranded! Enjoy yours. Bill 3

Lucky Phil Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 I don't believe you need to be a registered on FB to access a FB business site do you? Plenty of businesses these days don't even have a website but rely on FB as their sales/advertising medium. Phil

The one that you linked to let me look at it for a couple of minutes, and then went to "register now with Facebook to see more". Not going to happen... PS: the trailer looks good. I don't like any of the people that run these things these days either. Yea as you get older you need additional "infrastructure" to still remain independent. Phil 3
