Tap Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Brand new Stelvio Tributo reg 01.12.2025, after riding 8 miles to top up fuel tank I can hear a fairly loud clicking/clacking noise from what appears to be thfront of the engine. only when warm, only on tick over. doesn’t make a difference in gear or neutral, clutch pulled in or not. with even a Very few revs the noise can’t be heard/disappears. dealer says should stop after 100 miles or so. now on 56 miles hasn’t changed yet. any ideas or anyone else heard of this? cheers Will
Lucky Phil Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 (edited) Some owners have had engine noise related to the spark plug caps. One or both can be a poor/loose fit in the valve cover and rattle at idle. Some wedge a piece of rubber or foam in there to queiten it down. One other owner had issues with something in the valve train loose. Try the simple solution first. Your local dealer is a fool. Phil Edited December 8, 2025 by Lucky Phil 3

That is a good point about the plug caps - I was actually thinking it almost sounded like a relay chattering which could be the spark jumping possibly. I will have a look tomorrow cheers Will
