  1. I'm looking to install an oil sump baffle plate now while I've got my V11 apart - Anybody (including Pete) have one to sell? Thanks Ron
  2. I've had a few 'normal' (for Guzzi's, anyway) issues with my '01 V11, like the tach dropping dead the day I bought it on the ride home. (It hasn't worked since, even after I cut it in half, but that's another story) But the piss poor shifting of the 6 speed has me at the end of my rope. I verified the factory recall was done in '05, lubed and adjusted linkage more than once, changed to RL Shockproof heavy, adjusted the eccentric every which way but loose, yet still vague shifts, false neutrals then jumping into the next gear. So last week I took the side cover off hoping to find something obvious (like the lever limiter pin had fallen out like, I believe thmpr or Steve G found awhile back) but alas nothing noticeable found. I even replaced the lever spring with the Cannon one I had, just for the hell of it. I checked everything and adjusted the eccentric to lower center and put it back together, but no improvement. This thing absolutely has to be messed up somehow, somewhere, because it's almost unrideable this way. Anybody have any new findings or revelations on our favorite slushbox? iRon
  3. As a general rule, I'd say the further you break it down the more mula you'd make, but that's more work plus extra packaging and shipping. But I'll throw my hat in the ring for your rear wheel. Anyway, glad it's only the bike that's mangled and not you.
  4. For the front - I'm looking for a Magni fairing assy, and for the rear - a 5.5" wheel. I have a brand new CF bikini faring for possible trade/partial trade.

    Big Fat Rears

Hi. My name is Ron and I'm addicted to big, wide rears. (Tires, I mean rear tires!) Sorry if alot of you have been thru this topic before, but I desperately need as big fat rear tire as possible. Even the 180 on Lemans and Scuras make me sigh because I only have a 'puny' 170 on my V11. Can the 5.5" from those bikes just be bolted on to mine or does it require the wider swingarm as well? I will either acquire that wheel, have mine split and widened or get a/mrkt ones. (I'd need to donate a kidney to buy PVM's - $2400 bucks! ) I know it will probably adversely effect handling but I have twisted priorities. Please donate to this cause, as there is no known cure. Thank you.
