  1. Used to call 678-238-0902, but since they were bought by Piaggio, thats not working any longer.

I need to check the status on the warranty cases (black wrinkle replacements) that were ordered in October of Last Year!

    Anyone know the factory number?

    thanks

  2. Help me out here-- I'm just trying to buy a stock replacement Bridgestone BT020 for the front of my 2003 V11 Sport naked.

I went to order it at Motorcycel Accessory Warehouse, and they have all these tires in my size:

    (01576) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70B17 Front Tire "B" Mfg.#: 057537

    (01579) $75.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 Front Tire Radial Mfg.#: 039364

    (19190) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 Front Tire Mfg.#: 085901

    (04504) $82.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 N Tubeless Front Tire Mfg.#: 000961

    (34683) $106.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 "E" Front Tire Mfg.#: 070593

    (34684) $106.95 Bridgestone BT020 120/70ZR17 "NN" Front Tire Mfg.#: 071630

See the letter codes "B", "E", "NN", etc.? Those are OEM codes. Which one fits the Guzzi?

    Any opinion here?

    Thanks!

  3. My 03 V11 Sport has 4500 miles on it, and the rear wheel bearings are going out. I roade to work today and the rear end felt like it was wallowing!

I've got an appointment with Monroe in SF to warranty fix a pan oil leak, valve cover gasket leak, bubbling case paint, and now this! Also, my tach needle has bleached white, but it's supposedly cosmetic, so it's not covered!!! I love the bike to death, but thats a ton of problems for a bike with this little of miles.

  4. Give me a day or two and i'll post the one I made out of 18ga. sheet steel and some black spray paint. Used simple hand tools, sheers, angle grinder, and a drill. I'll even post the template I made. I think it is still lying in my garage....

I found a taillight at Autozone for $6 if I recall, smaller than the orginal but still DOT. Fits much better than the hideous OEM.

    Emry-

Please post the template you came up with- I'm anxious to see it.

I can fabricate basic stuff from sheet metal, and it sounds like you've got the right idea.

    Thanks,

  5. So what did the pipes/ecu/crossover end up costing from Orange County (if you don't mind my asking)?  Your bike does not have the header crossover correct?

Sounds like great fun.  Hope you enjoy it!

Guzzi Ti pipes were $977, but they knocked off $100.

Stucci Crossover was $324, but I've seen them online for $294

  6. I need a rear fender eliminator kit for my V11- I hate big, plastic crap, and that rear end screams it! Nobody makes a rear fender elimator kit without throwing in some weird thing with it:

    1. Ferrachi- Kit is back ordered till the end of March - Come with LED tail light, even if you don't want it! $79

    2. Evaluzione - Kit forces you to ditch the tail light and run funky tail/ turn signals/

    Kit price $140!

Nobody makes a simple aluminum brack to clean the whole thing up and retain the stock lighting... Fabricators: Make one from aluminum, and sell it for a decent price, and you've got one customer right here!

  7. I'll be curious to know how it goes as well. I'm finally ready to purchase and I've seen Orange county's ads for the V11 sport. Great price.

And let me know if there's any left as well... :D

Picked up the Bike on saturday morning. I had them install the MG Ti Race pipes and Stucchi crossover- Runs excellent so far- I put my first 35 miles on it that day. The Service Mgr said I could add a PCIII later for even more power. They were very cool to deal with, he installed all parts and charges no labor, took a few bucks off the parts, and threw in a few freebies! They do not have many 03 Sports left at that proce- He said they've sold 75 or so!!!!

Curiously, my bike was built in 2/02, but its MSO'd as on 03... Thats a REAL early 03. Still, I'm digging it so far!

  8. [quote

Just take a look on the site of Theo Lammers, www.tlm.nl

On his site the Magni costs 1080,00- Euro

I don´t think the sending costs around 500 dollars!

    ciao QUOTE]

1080 Euros = 1,350 US Dollars, plus shipping.

Still pricey. I wonder if you can order it sans mirrors.

Also, if you have to use the Magni bars; Are the factory clip ons too low or too high?

Thanks for all the advice here...

  9. First, I gotta say how much I like the look of a Magni 1/4 fairing on the V11.

I looked at the Italian Magni website, and I have some questons...

    1. How much is that thing? $1500??? Ouch...

    2. Are the mirror holes already drilled in the fairing?

    3. Do I have to run their bars, or will my stock clip ons work?

    4. Pro's and Con's?

I'd love to get the fairing with no mirrors or bars, and for less than an arm and a leg...

  10. Hi There--

I kind of introduced myself on the tech page, but here's a better intro, and where it actually belongs!

My name is jay and I live in the Northern California East Bay on the island of Alameda. I'm picking up a brand new left over 03 V11 Sport Naked next weekend, and I can't wait. Just sold my 01 Aprilia Mille, and although I'll miss the amazing horsepower, and killer brakes, it was without a doubt, one of the most uncomfortable bikes I've ever owned. My wife wouldn't ride on the back for 10 minutes either... Maybe I'm getting old.

I've had several Yamaha RD's, an RZ 350, Suzuki GT 550, a BMW R90S, 71 Moto Guzzi Ambassador, a rigid Harley Shovel, 69 BSA Thunderbolt, 80 Ducati 900 Darmah SS, 86 Ducati F1B, several Honda CB's, Vespa's, and a Triumph Daytona from 1968 and from 2000! There's been some more that I'm forgetting, but you get the idea of what I like.

Anyway, thanks for letting me intro, and I hope to ask many more questions!

    jay

  11. First of all I'd like to introduce myself, and say how much I've learned already about the V11 from this board. I'm picking up a new 03 V11 Sport Naked next week, and its good to know there a site with so many fellow riders of the same. I just sold my 01 Aprilia Mille and have owned a number of Italian, English, Japanese, German, and american bikes over the past 18 or so years.

I read the tread about the MG Titanium exhaust kit with the pipes, ECU, and peg brackets. Which sounds like the way to go for me because its a slip on deal, and I don't have to break in the bike first, or hide a power commander somewhere. Seems be around the same price as FBF mufflers and a PC III anyway. My question is I asked the dealer about running the Stucci crossover as well, and he said its not advised- That the ECU is meant to run with a totally stock V11 with the Titanium kit. Is this true? I've seen a few of you mention running the stucci with the Guzzi Ti pipes. He said it may or may not run that well. any thoughts on this? Should I just run the Ti kit and leaver everything else totally stock?

Thanks for your 2¢ in advance,

    jay
