I used anaerobic flange sealer on my bike (LOCKTITE 515) without any problems. No gaskets means no need to slot the hole for the sidestand bolt.

I now have 4 gaskets to give away for the cost of shipping.

Appreciate you dropping this pearl of wisdom... Thanks, ordered the gaskets but might just go this way...

Cheque is difficult for me. They are not in common use here, so I don't have a cheque account.

I thought that paypal "to a friend" doesn't cost anything for either party. If you can't use that for whatever reason, just let me know what the charges are, and I'll put that amount on top. :)

Paypal is easier but if the email is a commercial account it still gets dinged and added to the year end taxes as income to the business account for that email...

    @alannn,

I did find this metal core gasket (part number B063861), posted by Rolf Halvorsen, that sandwiches the plate (one above, one below). [The OEM "paper" gasket for the V11 is GU01003650.

The OEM sump to spacer gasket is GU01003600. I did not find the metal core equivalent for that one.

Looking at the part number at MG Cycle the metal gaskets B063861 seem to be for a ENGINE SUMP GASKET CALIFORNIA 1400 SERIES, GRISO 1200 8V. I'm curious if this is indeed true? Also would anaerobic gasket sealer on both sides work? As far as the oil pan gasket I have those ordered before and they are easy peasie to get... If the sealer wouldn't work and the metal gaskets are the call... I hate to be that guy but a pointer in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks to all for this.

  4. Got a GPR titanium a year or so ago. Single-side with a Y-pipe.

No restricters installed. Added a Power Commander III to de-lean.

Quiet at idle, loud at high throttle. Deep happy sound all around.

Good low-end. Makes a huge difference in power and feel 5k to 7.5k!!!

    Bike much happier!

No more surging at 3k, no more 4K pinging, but sometimes pings at 5k, will adjust the PC again. Wanted to avoid over-rich.

Curious where did you get your base map for your pipe... I too have a GPR 2 into 1 and a PC..but I'm thinking dyno and then it should be good.. Just curious if you found a download for the powercommander...Thanks

  5. $35 PLUS shipping!

I'm interested and curious, being 6'1" its a lot of wind at points and I have been looking.... SO.... Does this help with the wind any and will it cause buffeting? I'm thinking that it would make some difference and depending on the shipping seems to be a bargain for me and cheap enough that I can afford to give it a whirl....Thanks

  6. I'm away with work at the moment, but should be back Thursday so,I'll add the pictures then.

Wondering about your aluminum ring and how tall you ended up making it... Could you get a shot of just the ring set up on the tank and a rough idea of what the width of the ring was..Thanks

  7. Just an update. After 1000 miles, the GPR is louder, I guess from glass fiber packing or blowout, but still not anoyingly load. A good neighbor bike. Tone improved.

Tweaked the pc3 to avoid richness. Rule seems to be to set for lean stumbles then add 1. So Easy! :)

Bike is such a treat to ride now, may consider other stuff like "decent tune" and "guzzitech" but wanted to get rolling with minimal emotion peeling the onion.

A v11 won't be a Japanese appliance, which is just as well, we'd sell it.

For those haven't, tweak those suspension clickers. Better ride and less chassis pitching. Happy camper.

All is good. Is a great bike!!!

Am now mostly swearing at my 2000 Valkyrie. Crazy smog plumbing getting in the way of a cruise control install. Swears, hammering, knuckleblood.

Seems you have the same tastes in bikes.. Got a V11 and a 2001 Valkyrie...

If you're running the stock 2002 ECU with a PCIII you might want to try the gh67 map in the fileshare section.  It's much better than stock and it should be better than adding fuel across the board.

Curious if the gh67 is a two map set up?

I have the pipe on now and was told that 2 map set up works well with this bike....Anyone know if this is one
