  2. I wish everything wasn't so PC in the US, a lot of things have changed since I was a kid. People need to learn to just chill out and respect each others beliefs instead of trying to make it so they never have to see anyone elses b

    eliefs. :huh2:

I mean I don't mind seeing haunaka things or even the made up kwanza but instead they want everything gone. Not trying to make a political thread here I guess I miss the good ole days of forced christmas carols and chocking down nog.

and three or four nogs can be a good thing

  3. you know what -- we need to have name tags with the forum names on them :P when we meet. People introduce themselves with their "name" like their real given name -- I don't have a clue about who they are on the v11 forum or elsewhere forums -=- know what I mean  So now I actually know who Lamedog is -- didn't have a clue before this though even I rode with him for a couple of hours. I think LameDogs LeMans is in this somewhere.... Hey, I tried to cox my Centauro back into line but it wouldn't go  Ya know-- I've ridden with Hal several times and enjoy his company - congrats on the wedding too! -- but never figured out he is CIV11.... hmmmmmm.....

  4. NorCAl rally in Bodega Bay, CA. I showed up Friday noon. Should've swung over Thursday but work.... Friday night for camping I think we had 20 guzzi's. Windy as heck (blow you right down) until the sun set, then perfect weather). Saturday I think we had over 20 something guzzi's -- se we rode for hours on hwy 1 and off roads going all over the place-- very good- led by a local guy, Bill (Centauro, Quota, V11, Eldo). several 02 le mans, no v11 sports, my Centauro and another - Bill who led us on a several hour ride, quota, EV's , Stones, Eldo's, sp, etc. NICE. John, from Tulsa OK, was at 17000 miles this trip. He put 130k on his EV! Several guys from this forum showed: I saw Hale, Mark, and Dr. Gil (I'm leaving out several I KNOW!). I left Saturday evening to ride home the 2 1/2 hours to play poker -- hey, I won the big game! Great ride home too - little traffic and the Centauro (Saturday, Sunday) ran perfect..... this was way fun and can't wait for another rally... next time I maybe can hang out with Gil MORE :drink:

  5. dlaing-- are you going? I'm totally up for this one.... trial loaded up my Beast tonight, greased my zerk fittings (!) and really lookig forward to talking with Dr. Gil, you (you show'n up?) and whoever else is there..... already found out Brenda will be there -- she rides a Centauro and puts MILES on the thing.. She's leaving Sunday for Utah salt flats (she rides)

  6. great.... I hearing that the thing actually starts thursday ....... another guzzista and I might be going over then... still planning.... look forward to seeing you there. I'm camping for sure... trying right now how to tie on a tent and sleeping bag on my Beast!

  7. The pull from 6k to 9k is unbelievable -- this bike has the Will Credan daytona r chip with a 9k rev limiter (pop the cork- rubber thing on the top of the ecu and look at the chip. What does it say?). The handlebars are OEM "adjustable" about $300 for everything-- Guzzi didn't have the lipped cup washers so I picked up a set at Custom Crome (read: Harley) and ground them to make them fit. I have an oem flyscreen on order too...... I rode with a friend who has a HD - lost him every time I excellerated. He kept asking if I forgot to put oil in mine due to the NOISE from those cams :P

  8. I spent two days re-tuning everything and changing out my handlebars. On the bars, I COULD NOT take off the upper triple clamp - so I left on the previous clip-on clamps.........??????

Test rode the Beast --- Now I know why I bought it... :D:D My smiling face -- no stumble at low rpm, like it ran great.... ok, clutch engages way out, but I can fool with that! This is good.

  9. tow trucks :moon: Glad to hear injuries were minor -- my last one I had goose eggs poping out for three days afterwards... I paid $200 for a tow truck to haul my bike up from 100' down a hill. I clambered down there and tried keeping my goose upright while being towed up the hill -- highly steep-- I couldn't keep it up ( :D ) the last 10-15 feet, and it was dragged badly over very rough ground- That's where most of the damage came from... oh - I'm pretty sure setting up better for the turn would have done it...

  10. 20th anniversary in Europe with wify :drink: what a great tour. We all have to ride -- norcal-- the next scheduled thing is Bodega Bay on 10-6 I think. I was supposed to schedule a Delta run but can't figure out where to go except Locke--- my Arai is the quietest helmet I've had on. Next quiet is the Shoei -- very nice... my Suomy is LOUD - even with plugs The new Nolan when it gets here , can't be that loud :P
