  1. On a completely different topic than my starting and handling woes. When I first rode the Breva 1100 fitted with the touring windshield I found the battering from the air flow completely unsatisfactory. I acted upon a recommendation from the local dealer over here on the west coast of Canada and purchased a 'laminar lip' which I had shipped up from California, then brought it over to the UK, installed it, problem solved. My wife on the pillion even reported a drastic improvement and greatly increased comfort on the rear perch. For the pilot, 70mph visor up, no problem!

    Highly recommended: http://www.laminarlip.com/

I put a Givi A-760 on my Breva 1100 using the stock Breva shield hardware had to cold bend those rods a bit to make it fit but works for me.

  2. Mmmmmm. I dunno.....ol' Dan charged me a whole $8.70 for three of 'em..

Sent those to my old address and shot another 3 out to this address.

He's gotta be rollin' in dough.

I'm locking these 3 in the safe. Frickin' homing relays....... :P

I keep a full set of the GEIs in my topcase when traveling.

  3. I know this info is probably on the forum somewhere but I havent been able to find it. So I hope you don't mind me asking. I've seen some pics on here of oil filters with a hose clamp around them. Do I really need to do this? Why? Is there a specific spot the clamp should be placed. I have poured over as many of the old post's about oil filters (there's a ton) as my very short attention span will allow. I need to do my first oil change on my LeMans. I bought the walmart filter and I'm hoping to be able to do the change without removing the pan. I know I should be able to reuse the pan gasket, but I don't want to remove the pan withiut at least having a gasket on hand just in case.

As much money as you have in your bike you decide to go the cheap roite and use a Wal Mart filter??

I can't understand the logic in that?

  4. Two questions for Orson.

    1. Re "bone stock," thought Tennis came with a brown seat of brushed suede or the like?

    2. Where are those pics taken?

    Nice Guzzi, btw. :mg:

  6. As an ardent admirer of these on Chris' mild custom Guzzi, the best analogy I can think of is that these are the Guzzi equivalent of a spectacular set of implants.

Don't laugh I'm going to put a set on my white EV.

  7. ... clean gasket residue off of your valve covers.

Home this afternoon after squiring 86-YO mom around doctors, etc. I need the rest!

Anyway, so catching up on some Guzziadministrivia, such as this post.

So ... there I was, all pleased I'd learned how to adjust valves, after dutifully listening to Wayne Orwig explain the process, show me how, then mess up the settings to see if I could do it. I could ... I think. :D

Well, Wayne left too soon, as had he been there, I'd likely not foxtrot uniformed my valve cover.

Decided Goof Off http://www.valspar.com/val/resident/goof-off.jsp would do the trick.

    Oh, yes, and then some.

I am, obviously, sad-faced. [it will not help to tell me about reading directions :homer: ]

So, any suggestions? Presume these aren't on ebay every day.

I would think that you could have them powder coated Bill. There should be someone in the Atlanta area that does this.

  8. I like both the Scura and the Tonti framed Cali for different reasons.

The Scura is surer footed and well planted, if a little tall in the saddle.

The Cali is softer lower and more forgiving. I like the lower seat height.

As both bikes are new (ish) they are both taut, which is good.

Actually, the Cali is a total hoot to ride now I have upgraded with a second front disc.

It is great to ride it as it shouldn't be ridden!  ;)

Get a slightly used EV and have the best of both.

  9. Hi there, folks!

How about a write up and instructions for someone/dumb/me/old fart who might try a V11 a little later.

I believe I'd put some black Napoleon mirrors on it.

    Thanks,
