  1. Apparently Harley-Davidson dealers were given the opportunity to buy them before the end of the contract run.

The one I have was a raffle that the winner put up for sale. It now has 200 miles

The Armstrong MT500 is a British military motorcycle made by Armstrong-CCM Motorcycles in Bolton, Greater Manchester, who acquired the rights to the Rotax engine enduro motorcycle SWM XN Tornado from the Italian owners and developed the MT500 for use by the British Army in the Falklands war.[1] Electric start models were built for the Canadian and Jordanian armed forces.[2]

In 1987, the design and production rights were sold to Harley-Davidson,

  3. I just bought a 2007 Breva 750. On my first ride I look in my mirrors and half the view is my shoulders. Are extenders available (that look good) and that will give me a better view behind me? I'm used to a 1980 Yamaha XS1100SG where I sit upright and can see everything behind. My first ride on my Breva was great except for this one (but key) limited visibility issue.

I also had the same problem http://gradysmirrorextenders.com/Pages/product.html

Or I can make you a set for you on my milling table just PM me

  4. I have the same problem with my 2004 Ballabio dimples on the top of the tank. :(

Here is the first post of a other 04 Ballabio http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=dimples

Ethanol Fuel - What's the dangers?

Simply put, ethanol is an excellent SOLVENT (dissolves plastic, rubber, fiberglass and more), and unlike MTBE ethanol will ABSORB WATER, which can cause serious problems to some engines.

And no I never filled up with E-85

  5. I went to the dealer today to pick up some parts and notice all the 100cc and under dirt bikes had signs not for sale because of lead.

It sounds like a hoax, but it's true: children's motorcycles and ATVs are now illegal in America, effective February 10, 2009. Thanks to the well-intentioned but ill-applied Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, offroad motorcycles and ATVs intended for those 12 years old and younger are now illegal.

I have two kids, both went through a teething phase, and I can’t say I ever saw either of them attempt to stick a motorcycle in their mouth…

  7. I had the same problem. Let's see how far I could go before the warning light glows. No light and no fuel. Found out that the sensor is attached to the fuel pump and by a very thin piece of metal. New fuel pump with new sensor under warranty.

  8. Slightly better photo for Ratchet. Only slightly. These are from the PO taken just before the sale. I'll take my own soon.

I had a bit of minor engineering to do for the first ride. Only 18k on the clock, but still had the original air filter & boy did it need cleaning. Battery cables were frayed. Carbs a bit out, but oooh, wot a nice surprise to see these were fitted with DellOrto PHF36 pumpers from the factory. Massimo, you rule! Took about an hour, considering I had to make the cables, but she started very eagerly after the tweaking. A bit cold blooded. Has such a nice phased pulse. Kind of a cross between my carbon fitted v11 and a Norton commando with higher compression. Much healthier rumble than any brit bike though. Wonderful whirring noises ... you can hear everything working as it should.

Riding is surprisingly fun. I expected torture, but its actually not bad ... comfy for the hour I rode it yesterday. Very smooth. Bit of a shake at idle ... guzzi-ish and a slight buzz at 75 mph and up. No wobble, head shake, just very smooth power delivery. Fab mid range. I had a hotted up 1200 sportster once. This would spank it. Faster than a Commando and good handling like a bonneville. Didn't feel very quick, perhaps because it needs to be jetted for my altitude. Although running too rich, it still pulls very hard. Gears are a bit notchy. Smooth if you shift at the right times. Not forgiving of lazy rider input. Although a heavy beastie, she's narrow in the hips and wears her weight low. Nice in the curves. Beautiful decel trumpeting. Once you go Italian ....

Thanks for the support guys. I knew you wouldn't complain too loudly. After all, I was looking for a V7 when I found this. It was fate.

Now to find an air filter ... my first difficult part search!

    Wow! Beautiful Motorcycle! Congratulations

  9. Yep! I also ran out of fuel and no warning light. Found out that the sender is attached to the fuel pump with a little piece of metal that broke off. Was replaced under warranty. New fuel Pump with sender. :luigi:
