  1. It was on the bike when I got it....maybe an option in 2000? Found one: http://www.mgcycle.com/windshield.html
  2. Now I just have to get them to work! Resistors are on the way...hope that works...but hey, they look cool! Rizomas: from this: http://i5.pbase.com/o6/42/469642/1/7077762...r6aA.8816_1.jpg To this: http://www.pbase.com/fixated/image/72052345 http://www.pbase.com/fixated/image/72052344 http://www.pbase.com/fixated/image/72052343 Will take better pictures when my carbon pipes get here!
  3. I bought the Rizoma signals: http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_in...;products_id=48 I am having a similar problem...the fronts work fine but when I hook up the rear I only get a couple of weak led's lit up solid. They offer these...would this be what I need? http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_in...products_id=137
  4. Well...if FBF would send my fender elim kit, pipes, cross over and airbox lid elim kit I would have a blast! I sure hope FBF's products are better than their communication skills! I ordered the fender elim kit on the 3rd.... called this week.."oh, yea....those are backordered..hopefully before the end of the year" Ok, I understand backorders but shouldn't they have let me know that without having to call them 2 weeks later? They never even sent an order confirmation. E-mailed on Thursday to see if they had a updated ETA and they never got back to me. So far I am not impressed...maybe the products will win me over
  5. Thanks!
  6. My "new" guzzi is running at 42 and 45psi F to R...seems high to me. I did not get an owners manual with it...what should they be?
  7. Thanks...I was racking my brain...top piston setting...true pinion size...thorough pipe suck...?????
  8. So Todd, DO you recommend having the bike checked out/adjusted (valves, fuel inj....etc...) before installing pipes, PCIII, airbox...etc?
  9. Whoa! I am not trying to slam the dealer at all. In talking to him I said that I wanted to bring the bike in for the 6k service and have it looked over since I don't know the history and am new to Guzzi so don't know how it is "supposed" to run/sound/feel. I told him I was going to put pipes, airbox lid elim and crossover on. He reccommended doing that first so he could tune it to that set-up. When I mentioned the PCIII he said he won't work on a bike with one on it, he thinks they are trouble. Now, he knows a hell of a lot more than I do, as do most of you. If the bike is tuned by a dealer with all the mods made does the PCIII still offer a benefit? If so, I can take it in stock, have it serviced, valves adjusted, gone over....when my pipes, etc...come in install them and the PCIII with the map that will be installed for that set up and all will be good...right?
  10. I want to take my new (to me) guzzi in and have it serviced and checked over..I told the dealer that first I want to install my pipes, airbox lid elim, cross over and PCIII. He said he won't work on it with the PCIII. He said they are a pain. Why would that be? I assumed I had to have one...but I suppose he can just adjust for the mods and I don't need one?
  11. Thanks all...I will do some investigation just to make sure all is OK but I think you are right in saying it may be perception. I rode a bit today (the temp was above 15 degrees ) and the more I rode it the less I noticed it. You would think that with 5 bikes of varying breeds and layouts I would realize they all have thier quirks and take some getting used to.
  12. I placed 2 orderes with them...on the 3rd and the 5th. I did not get an order confirmation from them after PayPaling them the money. I called today during business hours and got a voice mail. Just wondering if this is the usual MO?
  13. I have had 1 shaft drive bike before...a 32 year old BMW, so I know they feel a bit different when jumping on the throttle. But is my 200 V11 supposed to jump when accelerating and decelling? You know, it is not reostat smooth. Could the U-joint be worn?
  14. PCIII is ordered from Todd...thanks guys. Oh, and good tip on the insulator under the tank!
  15. ...FBF's airbox lid removal kit Am I going to have to have the PCIII? (New crossover will come down the road). If so, what is the best map for it (pardon my ignorance, but I have never used a PCIII)? Where to find the cheapest PCIII? The prices semm all over the place. Thanks in advance!
  16. N o offense intended...it's not that the protector is bad so much as how it looks on my black bike...way to much of a contrast. And the red dots on the sides of the tank don't suit me either. I may go with a carbon one as well....to match my fairing
  17. All good advice...erm...except maybe the vomit Thanks, I'll put the sander away
  18. I'll pay....hmmm...$100? I may look into them...just to be different!
  19. The guy that owned my bike last put a hideous puffy plastic tank protector (to keep belt buckes from scratching) on the tank...as well as some puffy dots on the sides of the tank. Ny recommendations for removal? Heat them up to soften the glue? Chemicals that won't hurt the paint? Thanks
  20. Thanks! So, how illegal are those race exhausts???? Oh and how pricey!? Good info. Thanks again!
  21. Where are you? I am in Des Moines.
  22. Mine are getting slow and noisy and my usual supplier is out: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=...f042d7733692696
  23. No...just thought this was humorous and some might enjoy...I guess you have to play it straight around here or some people get thier panties in knot. I just aquired a V11 and was happy to find what seemed like a good forum...I'll stick to Guzzi related, informational posts as to not upset members like Mr. Forrest.
  24. Geez! Sorry! I found it funny....what is location google?
