  1. Thanks! That bike is Jada proof! I'm short, it's tall, I'm weak, it's strong! lol I tend to tip over especially if there is a hole anywhere near my feet! Right now it's getting a much needed tuneup. Unfortunately, I have to take it 2 hours away...finally found a reliable exotic bike repair shop.

  2. Just got this link to the Moto Guzzi Heritage site. Post pics of your Guzzi and the story of how you came to love/own Guzzi's. It's an American/Canadian site.

    www.motoguzziheritage.com

"This site was created to honor Moto Guzzi’s heritage, engineering milestones and most importantly, its passionate owners and enthusiasts. Come share your appreciation for Moto Guzzi with us and the Moto Guzzi fan community and help celebrate the 90th anniversary of one of the most iconic motorcycle brands in production."

  3. Another group staying in Franklin NC the same weekend are from the VFR discussion group. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/64168-official-texasmac-2011-event-thread-may-19th-22nd/ I usually attend the VFRD meet with my husband and miss the SSR. My Cafesport somehow makes it either in the front of all of the other VFR's in the group pic or she is the very first pic in someone's post. Not sure how this happens but the V11 is quite the attention whore!

I will be with the FJR group that weekend staying at http://www.crawfordsattellico.com/. I hope to run into other like minded riders while there!

  4. You must have been a very happy "Rain Princess" this weekend. :notworthy:

Friday's ride to Newport from Atlanta got us a bit wet, and Saturday's main ride started off sodden but improved to a nice day. But, I may never dry out from the ride home today. 300 wet, sometimes pouring, miles. Blech. :bbblll:

Seriously, suspect you and the VFR folks also got soaked.

Oh, well, gorgeous country, and the swollen creeks and rivers made for powerfully beautiful scenes as they rocked downstream in angry-looking, boiling torrents.

Will post more pix later, but here's a teaser of our very own docc. I'll let him explain. :P

    Bill,

I see you picked up on my screen name! The people I would ride with thought I caused the rain.

You are so right about the beautiful country! We rode through quite a bit of rain on Friday including washes of water and dirt crossing the road while we were in the twisties. We took off on Saturday and did the scenic route through SC. I think we found a different route to take us to the mountains!

Here are some pics from the VFR Texas Mac annual memorial. I still haven't figured out how the Guzzi and I got in the front of the pics. I didn't intend to but...how can you put that machine in the back? I'm the girl in the burgandy shirt.

    Jada

  5. Hi,

I've been a lurker here for a quite awhile now. I keep trying to 'attend' the South'n Spine Raid but have always been unavailable because of work related issues. Well, this year I was going to attempt to attend again but will be attending the VFRD rally with the husband the very same weekend. We will be staying in Franklin, NC. So, if you see a bunch of Honda VFR's and a lonely Cafe Sport, that'll be me.

    :mg:
