  1. I am selling my silver 2000 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport. I am the 2nd owner and have ridden it for less than 2000 miles. It is a lovely, torquey, head turner and provokes conversation wherever I go. Bike has been garage kept from the day I purchased it but the previous owner had it outside a bit so there shows some sign of weathering (i.e., faded gauge needles and some typical stuff). It has no real damage to anything anywhere but something fell onto the front fender and scuffed/scratched it years ago. The headlamp had a small chip and was repaired. Bike is a regular rider so while it's been kept in great mechanical condition, it shows it has been obviously ridden. The choke has never worked but I have never needed it - See attached YouTube video for cold start and exhaust sound. Other than that, the paintwork is great and the bike is kept clean and tidy in a garage on a battery tender.

8400 miles. Service performed by Speeds Cycle. Never down. Never tipped. New battery, bar end mirrors. Mistral race exhaust w/ Stucci X-pipe ($900), upgraded relays (a MUST on these bikes), Stock front cafe fairing removed but will come with sale, stock exhaust and rear fender also come with sale, heated grips. - $4990 OBO.

  2. Its a 2000 V11 SPort. I just bought it 4 months ago with only one key and havent had a chance to make a copy. Welp, I've lost the only one I had. What to do? I called a dealership and they said they just order blanks and you can go copy it from the existing key... not an option. New ignition and key set?

  3.

MG Cycle is out of stock according to they're website. Ive been checking back for a few weeks. I suppose if I just order some from MG, they'll come sooner than they're website will update them back in stock haha

How 'bout the Moto Guzzi titanium pipes? I have a set lacking the ECU for about hte price of Mistrals.

I think he was just looking for the Mistral x-over at this point Greg. I could be wrong: I'm sure he'll call if I am! ;)

No I was definitely looking for the mistral race slip ons and possibly the crossover. MG says out of stock. I'll call the guy at mistral soon :)

  4. They do look quite like Mistrals to me. Here's a pic of my bike with low, round, carbon mistral cans. They seem a pretty similar shape. Don't understand why anyone would attach "arrow" nameplates though.

Apparently the previous owner was informed by a police officer that his exhaust was illegal (off road use only) and he was very paranoid and put on Arrow baffled over that stamping on the cans. Dunno for sure...

  6. Edited again lol... Moved back here from 24/7 V11...

So I bought a 2000 V11 sport a few years ago and the exhaust system was explained to me to be a Mistral x-pipe and Mistral mufflers but oddly enough, he put Arrow badges on the cans for some odd reason (they said off road use only on them iirc). Here are some pics of my old bike and the exhaust as best as I can find. Do they seem to be Mistrals? I just bought another V11 Sport and want the same exhaust system.

  7. So when I bought my bike, the p/o gave me a speedo cable because he figured the reason the speedo was inop was because the cable took a crap like the last one did. Well, at the repair shop, the tech tells me the cable wasnt the problem but instead, some fitting at the gearbox was broken... so they replaced it and the speedo turns now but its WAY off... reading over 100mph when I'm just cruising around 50 and it gets stuck/hung up in mid reading and I can settle the needle when I tap the glass. Whats my next plan of action? Is this typical of a bad speedo? Is the end rounded at the speedo? I'm assuming he used the provided new OEM cable when I had him repair it. I gotta tell you I do NOT want to go back to the same shop for service or repair unless I absolutely HAVE to and there arent any other local places so... trying to figure this one out on my own.

  8. As mentioned, check to see when your tach is intermittently also out with the headlamp and brakelamp. That would be a simple typical starter relay. The electrical current for the charging system runs back through that relay. If the relay sticks, it never sends a signal for the voltage regulator to recharge the battery and thus the battery runs til it dies. I had the EXACT same problem with my bike when I bought it.

Bike would not crank, I'd charge the battery, it would start once, no headlamp, no tach, no brakelamp (parking lamp was ok), would die running and not restart. Turned out to be a starter relay. Upgraded to all new 5 pin relays, trickle charged the original battery - OK now.

  9. Absolutely CALL but be 100% civil. Do not accuse or yell or scream. See if you can find resolution to what may simply be miscommunication or simple error. I would just ask nicely "Hello, I ordered something from you a while back and hadnt seen it yet so I was wondering if you could check on it for me and give me a status?".

9 out of 10 times, its simple. If after your call, nothing is resolved or youre blown off or ignored, you need to file a claim with eBay and Paypal to get your paypal money back (PayPal is no joke when it comes to withholding payments) and simply leave negative feedback and report the seller to eBay.

  10. I saw a Corbin seat on eBay once that was custom made with a silver rear portion to custom match what would have assumingly been the rear seat cowl cover but I dont want to loose the rear seat cowl cover. Are there any more comfortable seats out there that allow the retaining of the rear seat cowl cover? The attachment I found online (possibly here?) so I was wondering if this seat is a comfort improvement and where it might be available?
