  2. :o

Lou wants to know if Triumph do retro fit rockets for her Bonny so that she can keep up when on the forum meet in September :D

There will be me on my V11 but also Linz on her ER6 so she need not worry, The weekend is about enjoying the company & riding some top roads, all different abilities so no pressure.

From what I saw of Lou on the restricted monster she will do fine, the girls got balls!

I'm really looking forwards to it & cant wait to see everybody again!

  3. Anyway, for planning purposes, Soren just needs to say what he wants to do and where. That's the first thing.

    Blimey Soren,

Better get your thinking Kilt on as the decision is on you.....

Wherever you decide to go we will follow....(as long as you bring the fart machine!)

By the way, I look just Peachy in Red, Thanks ever so much.

  4. It's not working with key head just on key ring. Maybe it's not close enough to barrel/coil.

And arghhhhhhhhhhh - just noticed a lump in a jacket pocket - and found the original key!

I had thought it was stolen along with the other keys that went.

So there was no need at all to get the locks changed, at £200!!!!!!!!

Everybody has a lost key tale buy yours is a pretty expensive one.!

    However a certain Gearjammer who came to Kenbridge on his 1200 sport last year has a good tale of similar woes but which involved;

    a stag night,

    lost keys,

    an abandoned bike,

a round trip with car & wife from Huddersfield to Dalkeith (Scotland) to pick up said abandoned bike.

A petrol stop where said keys are discovered in bike jacket pocket...........

    One very sheepish Mr Gearjammer.......

The world would be a less interesting place without the 'bike key leprechaun'!!

  5. Hi Dave,

Yes we're getting the same crossing as Mr & Mrs Guzzirider just keeping fingers crossed for the weather on Thursday.

Thanks for ordering the breakfasts as I had forgotten all about it till this last weekend.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone.

    Cheers

    Trevor

    Hi Trevor,

Me & Guy will be getting up to Kenbridge 3-4pm ish. (Watch the A74 for police cars, its renowned!)

Look forwards to meeting you guys......we'll be the ones on a couple of Guzzis......With pints in our hands! :bier:

  6. Maybe change the plan for lunch destination at Portrush.

It will be hectic, as it's the annual raft race as well as the holiday weekend.

    How about Portstewart?

I have arranged for me & Guy to meet my brother there, they are trying to find somewhere that does good food.

  7. You may find this useful

    Speed Cameras

Thought you might be interested to know that following the UK

Government's freedom of information act you can now get access to ALL

speed camera offences registered in the last 12 months.

Did you know that every time your car goes past a speed camera, even 1mph

over the set limit, it is registered and put on a database? You only get

a ticket if you are way over the limit or, (this is the bit that I

didn't know) if you receive over 10 near misses, you will be classed as

a serial offender and get a ticket the next time you go just over the

    limit.

This is why you hear of people being done for 34mph in a 30mph limit

area, whilst others doing 39 do not. You can check what has been

registered against your vehicle at the following web address:

    http://www.i-database.co.uk

You will be asked for a password, but just click on the need a Password

link and you will be given one for future use. Or just enter your car

    registration.

If there is any data on your vehicle you can click on the camera window

to see a copy of the photograph.

    Hope it's useful.

    Brilliant!!!

Will be passing this along to a few people who need it!:lol:

BTW JRT you might want to transfer this to the Joke Thread (beat ya to it Keith :D )

  8. Get your gigs on Helen! I've seen you and you would have to have at least another 30 years of professional tripe pie eating and the same time with your head in the ferret fighting bag before you could aspire to the loveliness of our Nora

Eee by gum Nora, what a role model!

My little ferrets may still only be trouser trainin' and I've a few more pies to go yet but god rest 'er soul our Nora.

It 'll take a good Yorkshire Lass to fill them stockings but Im up fo't challenge!!

  9. Just took her out for a (very cold) ride. Too much fun for me to sell her- she is a cracking little bike with so much character and plenty of poke.

She stays and I will keep her roadworthy.

    V11005.jpg

That is the correct answer as

    a) Not everything on my V11 has broken/needed replacing yet so where would I go for spares?

    and

    B) Thanks Euan, The only car we own which isnt a company car is mine! Dont give him ideas!!

  10. I will be the only person on a V11, even if I keep having to 'borrow' parts from Guys Rosso Corsa to keep me on the road.

I wonder what will be my first mechanical failure of 2009??

See what can beat the collapsing side stand in June this year.

Luckily the bike was fully laden........Techno Paniers make good crash bars.....!

    Hx

PS Nice bike Jaap, Just glad you didnt get red....! :P

  11. Would we be allowed in Paddys Sleeping Orchard?

    I quote from the web site;

"we do not encourage over indulging or abuse of alcohol or under age drinking, drugs of any description especially when a resident in Sleepy Orchard."

I can confirm the over indulgence, I look forwards to the abuse, but am over 21 so dont qualify for the under age drinking.........Paracetamol in the morning is a given.. :nerd::lol:

    Hx

  12. Don't blame Jaap, you probably accidently changed layout yourself

At the top right of any thread, click Options -> Display Modes -> Standard

    :bier:

    Ha!

    Thanks for that fellas,

I've been moaning about the display layout for ages but been too lazy to try find out how to sort it!

I'm Blonde so that my excuse!!

    Hx

  13. Good to know, thanks for sharing. Btw, nice bike she's got.

Its a great bike thankyou very much, I love it!

From a cosmetic point of view the rack & frames do spoil the looks a little but a large portion of our riding is done carrying camping gear so practicality rules.

    Helen

  14. Works ok for me, I tested it from 6 PC's here just to be sure though

    Ooh, Good idea!

We must have at least 10 terminals in this office, Im on a mission whilst everybody is out at lunch! :mg:
