  1. Dear Trackday-participant or interested,

In order to create some atmosphere on the Trackday the Moto Guzzi Club Netherlands (MGCN) organizes a BBQ the night before the trackday.

This will take place at the paddock of the track of Mettet at Sunday 22.nd of April. We will only take care of the food. You will have to take care of the drinks youself (a coke for example)

We will pick up the food an take everything needed to Mettet (even a ‘roof’) and we hope to light the BBQ around 18.00. The idea is that we share the costs of the BBQ, which will be €10,- a person. We arrange a package a person at www.barbecuebrabant.nl consisting of:

    - burger

    - chicken saté

    - shaslick

    - pork

    - Hussars and kartoffe salad

    - Vegetable saled

    - Sauces

    - Baguette

    - Plastic plate and cutlery

If you want to eat vegetarian and you find no objection to use the same BBQ as the meat-eaters, it is possible for €14,-.

    How to register?

    - You can sign up at guzzitrackday@gmail.com. Mention your name and phone number;

    - Transfer €10,- or €14,- (for vegetarian) per participant on Ing bank accountnumber 71856 at Moto Guzzi Club Nederland, announcing your name and BBQ Mettet.

In case of a foreign money transfer:

    IBAN: NL40INGB0000071856

    BIC: INGBNL2A

Make sure the money is transfered before the 13th of April. No payment is no BBQ.

We would like to emphasize that this BBQ is organised by MGCN without any profit or commercial interest. MGCN will not accept liability for claims of any kind whatsoever. It is your free choice to participate. You are responsible for preparing your own meat. We will ask you to sign for that when the food is handed over at the BBQ.

We are looking forward to it and hope to have a nice Barbecue!

    Kind regards,

Jeroen and Joep, on behalf of the Sportiefcommission MGCN

  4. There is a thread on UK Club forum for a while now asking if anyone would be interested in a Guzzi trackday. It got ONE response - mine. Unfortunately, I am very unreliable - so if it was raining or cold, or I had to work, there may be zero riders turn up on the day & I don't think the organiser wanted to take that risk...

I love track days, but it's quite an effort to get out & I rarely do them. Family & work take precedence & nowadays I feel a bit vulnerable sat in the paddock amongst all the vans & tyre warmers on my only transport home.

I tend to tag on to an open trackday at the last minute (when I see the weather's looking good) - & that sort of attitude is no use to people planning a day. It'd be nice to be out with other Guzzis, but as BFG has recently been saying, it's about attitude & being out there, not the make of bike you ride, I kind of like being the weird old duffer in the corner on his unheard of antique, & the puzzled looks.

I remember that day MGCGB did at Ty Croes. My gearbox had blown up & I only got it finished that morning but I rode up to have a look anyhow. There were some interesting bikes there, & I guess they're mostly still around but are the rider's past it? How many people do you reckon in UK are into sports Guzzis, or running tuned/modified bikes?

I notice you no longer visit the UK forum, Guy. Seems anyone with a sporting interest seems to drop out after a while. The central clique there do not appreciate sportsbikes & are pretty discouraging. It's a shame & I've often thought similar to you - set up some sort of umbrella for those interested in that side of things. I think we need to do a bit of work on the name tho...any suggestions BFG? Tell you what, I'll start a new thread....

GUZZNAX: HOPE YOU ALL HAVE GOOD WEATHER & A GREAT DAY!

    KB :sun:

We take a lot of effort in advertising because many Guzzi-riders never join forums:

    - advertising on forums in Holland, Belgium, GB, Germany, here etc

    - advertising in Club magazine Moto Guzzi Club Holland (2500 members) Moto Guzzi club Belgium (700 members)

    - send posters and flyers to 30 dealers

    - convince people at Guzzi-happenings

    - advertising in other Dutch Bike magazines 25000 readers each.

    - advertising at homapages of clubs and on Site Teo lamers

    - e-mail list of people who joined before or were interested

    - invite special Guzzi's like Peter Jansen or Jens Hofmann.

    - we would also like to have e V8 one day :-)

Together with that we arranged a discount for registries an we arranges sponsors to cover the expenses.

Our goal is to grow slowly up to a whole day with only Guzzi's.

we think we will succeed, because when a critical mass has joined other people will also join because a Guzzi-day is quite a unique happening. we also had viewers last year who joined us a year later.

Inportant other thing. Do not focus only on sportsbikes, because they we made in too few numbers.

we made the day also suitable for classics and touring bikes by adding a beginners-instruction and a classic group.

  5. :notworthy: That is an amazing list

Congratulations. Looks like it will be a fantastic day.

There is no possibility of even starting a list like that over in this faraway outpost of Europe.

96 registry's so far. When we reach more than 110 registries we are going to have a day with only Guzzi's and other Italian Bikes. We hope to get about 70-80 Guzzi's on the track. That will be great :race::bier:

Drivin from Belfast will be quite far indeed. From the south of Brittain its possible to return the same day, when you use a trailer or a van.

  6. We have 80 registries so fas, and 57 of them are Guzzi's. Thats great!!

here is a list of the people who registered.

Most guys are from Holland and Belgium and some from Germany.

We hope to have an extra 30 registries to fill the whole day.

So join us  It will be great to drive on the thack with that many Guzzi's !!

  7. Hi Guys,

All places of the Guzzitrackday are fully booked.

From the in total 120 bikes on Mettet, 62 places are booked by Guzzitrackday, from which about 50 (!!) Guzzi's. We are very happy with so many Guzzi-bookings . Than is a lot more than we expected .

We also have some very special bikes; some MGS01's, some Ghezzi's; some old racebikes and even a Nuovo Falcone .

It will be a great day!! :race:

In the years to come we will try to book 'only Guzzi' day with about 120 only Guzzi's or comparable bikes.

We hope to see lots of you joining in the following years.

    regards,

    Xander

  8. Xander

Sounds like a great event! Would you like me to publicise amongst the MGCGB? It's not too far from the ferry ports.

    Cheers

    Guy

Of course I would like that!!

    The more Guzzi's the better!!

Although the number of places is limited, I booked quite some places.

When my booking is filled very quickly we will probably get extra places, so the quicker Guzzi-drivers register the better.

I have allready 11 bookings from Dutch guys :) .

  9. Hi Guys,

On Monday the 5th July 2010, the Dutch Moto Guzzi Club organizes the first Dutch Guzzi Trackday.
