  1. Hi,Mud,

recently bought a Rosso Mandello but it did not have any paperwork with it

so I have no idea what number it is.

Any way of telling from the frame number?

    hope so,

    Andy Roo

    Gday andy roo and welcome,

Fantastic choice you have made mate - a great and very collectable bike.

There may be a way to tell from the VIN what number your bike is - that info is not / has not been found by yours very truly as yet - but -

I have taken the liberty of "numbering" the unnumbered as they show up so yours is now unofficially number "309".

Hope that suits mate - get out there and ride the wheels off the darn thing...oh, thats right...you're in Pomgolia...studded tyres anyone?

    Best, mud

  2. Hi!

Bought one of the second series from Germany last year and registered it here in Finland. There should be five or six of them altogether in the country and strangely enough three of them reside in or near the small town where I live!

    Henri

    Good onya Henri!

Are the owners aware of this fantastic resource at their fingertips?

Round 'em up and find those numbers mate!

    Cheers,

  3. Gday all,

Looking to replace Dash's electric tap with a Mandello / similar manual tap.

Cannot find the part number - any advice please?

    Does anyone have one available?

  5. Gday pieman and welcome,

For my :2c: worth: I have been running Avon Storm's on my Sport 1100 and the RM for some years now and find

Them to be long wearing and very predictable when "giving her the berries". Australia would have some of the shittiest roads out there

and we soon find out what works and what tries hard.

They are an improvement over the previous Azarros which were a capable tyre as well.

From 3 degrees to 50 degrees Celcius they have never let me down (touch wood...)and have proven to be very stable

when the weather turns nasty (hence the name I guess)

    Cheers

  6. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha - breathe - hahahahahahahahahahahaha....

Sorry fellas, couldn't help myself. Mind you 47C and 98% humidity here in the Wet season is no laughing matter.

Hope it clears soon so you can get out and about without a wetsuit!

    Cheers,

  7. I got number 301 because I said so, and because I put the damn number on the sides of the frame! :P

He's just jealous cos he didn't think of it first... I've put you down as #302 Gavo - hope that suits.

  8. Hey theres a senna on ebay now 10000ks buy it now $19k http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DUCATI-916-SENNA-LT...%3A1%7C294%3A50 so now you only need 18k  gav

Gavo - thanks mate, nah really - thanks. I wont be able to sleep now....

Sure is purty - my licence has thrown it's hands over it's eyes just with the thought of the hooligan nutter behaviour that

something like that would bring out in a bloke.....damn! Good thing I live in a part of the world where there is almost 0 police presence ho ho!

Hmmm...pay the tax bill or put a Senna in the shed...yeah, yeah I know - pay the tax or there wont be a shed!!!!

  9. I have #74, if you want the frame # I can provide that later. Are we only registering the "numbered" Rosso's? Because Guzzi made another 300 or so of them when they noticed that people actually liked & bought the first 300!

Some of them have been lost to wrecks & I heard of one being burned up in a garage fire. It would be interesting to know how many are left.

    Gday Richard,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I reckon it would be interesting to know how many are out there as well hence my call.

I thought any and all RM owners could get in touch if they so chose - numbered or not - as they are all RM's are they not?

It would be a shame to bin one, but to have one burn would surely break your heart.

Imagine the call to your insurer..."Yeah mate - it was one of 600 in the world, can you replace it?"

    Cheers,

  10. Gday all,

I have searched most of the archive and can only find mention of a thread from some time ago with frame numbers etc.

If you are interested in adding your bike to a register I will collate, please either send me a PM or reply here - feel free to add

whatever detail you wish i.e. frame number, release number etc. I plan to upload the tally from time to time - let's see how many we can find!

Thanks for whatever time you spend on this,

    Cheers,

  11. Plumpness!!!.... nah mate - just heavy bones...

Fun to watch a Jap something in front of you ricocheting around on these goat tracks while the ummm heavier,

somewhat portly Italian matron just cruises on by...

  12. So......does this mean I won't be spat on if I add a 916 to the fleet?

There was an immaculate Senna 916 with 8k kms in the Bike Trader magazine a couple of weeks ago - only wanted $32k Aus for it!

All I need now is the other $31k and it will be mine..mine I tell you!!!

    Cheers,

  13. Gday all,

One I found waltzing thru Fleabay.

Was wondering if anybody had come across said beasty and had anything good to say about 'em.

Seem to originate from Pomgolia where they know all about shite weather

Apparently they are available for a whole bunch of different muddaboiks (Fred Gassit circa 87).

Would consider one for the KTM 640 Adventure - to throw a bait in - those that grizzle about V11 'bar vibration should spend an hour aboard

these tough, uncompromising, amazing, capable jiggers - if your throttle hand has'nt gone numb in about 2.5 kms - I'll buy you a beer!

Lot like the V11 tho - get up it and all thoughts about vibration are wiped from your mind as all of a sudden shit is happening really quickly!!! :race:

Anyhoo - check this out please - all feedback appreciated.

  14. The heel of my left sock never seems to locate properly on my foot. Ever since my family left me, I have been unable to work anything out for myself and this sock thing is really getting to me.

Is there anyone out there in the world who can fix my sock. ;)

Or if you see my ex wife, tell her that 'every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better'.

    Your problem is obvious...

You've got your socks on the wrong feet - eejit!

  15. Gday all,

Am chasing an original manual as delivered with the bike - any spares out there?

If there is a sales brochure as well that would make me a happy chappy!!

Preferably containing some english would be good....

Pricing??? I am sure we could come to some sort of multi - can agreement...

  16. Gday,

Try Frank at Eurobrit - usually has good quality 2nd hand parts for all Guzzis...check Bike Trader mag or his website.

Fleabay is usually worth a poke around in as well.

Have found it is the same Valeo starter for a common small car which retails for about $200 - just cannot remember which bloody car.

    Watch this space...

    Cheers,
