  1. 2001 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport $3,999 OBO

Beautiful bike and my personal favorite color scheme of all these Guzzi's.

Reason for selling is I simply am not riding it enough and I would rather have the garage space at this time.

    Just under 20,000 miles

Never had any issues with it.

    Great condition.

    Runs excellent.

Bike currently has risers with a standard bar on it. I still have the clip-ons as well.

One tiny paint chip on the left side of the tank.

Needs a trip meter knob as it was broken when I got it.

I believe I am the third owner. Bike originally was in California then made it's way to Washington and to me. I looked for this year and color for sometime. Finally got it about 8 years ago and have enjoyed it ever since but need the space now.

I can only get one pic uploaded for some reason so let me know if you want to see more and I can email you.

Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to make an offer if you are interested.

  2. Greg bender's site lists several replacements...for the older loop frame motors. I doubt they have changed, but caveat emptor and no warranties expressed or implied. You might ought to check the low pressure limit on any substitute.

Thanks for all the responses. I did end up calling Moto International who is the closest dealer (about 1.5 hours out and back in Seattle's awesome traffic) and will get the real deal from them soon but they suggested just taking it in and matching it up.

I ended up at Autozone with the PS158 that was mentioned in the link above. It's for a 1980 BMW 320i amongst other things.

Installed, light on properly with key, start and light goes out. Now I have to ride of course just to confirm which I plan to do in the next hour when I'm done with work.

    thanks all

  3. I guess i have to start somewhere so here goes my first post.

My wife just bought me a 2001 V11 Sport for father's day. Love it and her of course.

My oil pressure light went out yesterday so today I checked the ground from the switch and boom, light comes on nice and bright. Equals switch bad from all I've read.

So I'm looking for the correct replacement part that I can pick up from AutoZone or O'reilly seeing as the Guzzi dealer is a ways away and the other two are within walking distance.

I've found reference to a 90s BMW switch, a 70s FIAT and a 70s BMW. I've looked up these parts and they all look different and have different part numbers.

I just don't want to get the wrong thing. Could someone in the know tell me exactly what vehicle to get one from year, make, model or post a part number for me? Would be hugely appreciated.

thanks for everything on the board so far.

    john
