  1. Been having trouble with poor pedal feel and stopping power.  Replaced the rear pads, they were due.  No improvement.   Finally lost all breaking.  The damn bleed screw feel out.  What caliper does the Ballabio have?  I couldn't find the Brembo caliper numer.  Anyone know what size bleed screw the caliper take??  This is starting to aggravate me!!! :bbblll:  :angry2:

  2. I have an 07 Norge that I have been fighting the blow by vent leakage.http://www.harpermoto.com/cover-grey-976098.html   I have replaced the O ring (part 39) , the plastic housing, (part 18) http://www.harpermoto.com/raccordo-sfiato-blow-by-05007230.html  and the vent tube.  I am still  getting oil all over the the block from the leakage.  My next move is to use some The Right Stuff and make a silicon gasket.  Has anyone used The Right Stuff before, and if you have how did it work for you?? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Permatex-4-oz-automatic-tube-the-Right-Stuff-gasket-maker/_/N-25y8?itemIdentifier=82550_0_0_

I am at wits end trying to gert this thing to stop leaking.  It is making a mess out of my bike to say the least. any helpful suggestions are welcome.

  3. I think it is still a "real " Norge.  A nicely modified one albeit.  I thought you were/did paint the chrome wings black.  It appears you left them chrome.    Wonder how they would look color matched to the silver.  I have an 07 Norge that I am chasing a oil leak from the blow by vent.  That tupperware is a PIA, so I'm taking it off until I get that resolved.  Very nice work on that Norge. :notworthy:

  4. I just want to say thank, you, Bravo Zulu, to Jaap for having this forum, and especially to dlaing for his piece on setting the TPS, and balancing the TB's.  I have been trying to set the TPS and TB's on my 04 Ballabio.  I am using Guzzi Diag, and I am closing in on getting it done.  Working 80-90 hours a week though doesn't leave a whole lot of time to get it done. I am hoping to finish it up tonight. Again, thank you to Jaap and dlaing for this site and all the how to information available on it.

  5. I got her done, washed her, and test rode her.  Bit noiser valve train than before, but she was incredeably tight when I started. When I took the valve covers off the gaskets tore of course.  It's Sunday, where will I get the gaskets today?  Went to my cabinet and looked, I had 4! gaskets for her!! It's a good day tator!!:P:   Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.  BTW, the bike in question is the one in my avatar.  Yup, she's a runner and a keeper.

  6. LOL, I knows what you mean.    I'm having a hellava time finding the D on the fly wheel.  I found something that looks like a U laying on its side with the opening on the left, and then a line of yellow paint elsewhere on the fly wheel.  Having a helleva time getting this VA done.  :homer:

  7. That explains the 6,8 and 20, 22 memory problem!!  LOL  Bikes??  Well,

  8. Crainial flatulance time guys.  I can't remeber the valve specs, world, for 2004 Ballabio.  Anyone here that can take a minute and help break this brain lock??   Sucks to get old and lose your memory. Sucks to get old and lose your memorty. :oldgit::homer:

  9. Thank you for all the hard work, and putting up with the headaches of running this site Jaap.  I marvel at those like you that can do that black magic that makes these sites appear and actually work.  I marvel even more when the black hearted evil doers atttack your site and you not only save it, but resurrect it back to fully functioning condition. :notworthy:   If I ever have the pleasure of meeting you in person Jaap, your money will be no good, the drinks will be on me, until we are unable to drink anymore!! :bier::drink:

  10. 04 Ballabio with Red Line Hy Shock in tranny case. Went for a long spirited ride then 25 miles of 65-70 mph travel. Got into town, fueled and cruising through town the shift lever stuck in the down position after shifting in to 1st gear, 3 times in a row. Then for the next 100 plus miles didn't do it again. Since most Moto Guzzi do not have the self heal function on them, what happened, what should I check? Lube level is good in the box. Half way up the sight glass.

  11. It sounds like it might be the factory "Racing" ECU the comes with the Ti exhaust kit. If so it's the same as the stock WM15 ECU except it has different fuel and ignition mapping and possibly a slightly higher rev limit. The only shop that I know of that can remap it in the USA is Guzzitech. If you add a Powercommander there are lots of shops that can create custom maps. If you buy a PC from Guzzitech they will usually load a proven map for your model year and mods.

Thanks for the reply. I have the Mistral CF Oval exhaust on it right now. I am considering the PC for it. Even thinking about the Guzzitech ECU, PC III and fuel system from Todd. Will be putting pods on real soon here. I have a PC Dyna Tune shop 25 miles from here. It is a Harley shop, but supposed to have an excellent Dyno guy. About $200 for a full tune I think. I have three bikes already with PC in them. Soon to be two more so I'll ask for a volume discount.;)

  12. I know Fox Racing does suspension and clothing, never heard of them doing any electronics. Do you have any pictures of it?

I tried to get a photo to upload but no luck. It is a Kit racing ECU, not a Fox. It says Kit and Moto Guzzi on it.

  13. My 04 Ballabio has a Kit Racing Moto Guzzi ECU in it. I cannot find any information on the ECU or where I can get it tuned, or even if it is tunable. Anyone have any information on it? She runs like a raped ape, but still would like to have it dyno tuned if that is even possible.

My bad. I thought it was Fox but actually it is Kit Racing.

  14. That sounds just a little snobby don't you think. Before the latte swilling set got into bikes it was a means of transport for the common man, a pudding helmet and what ever you have on and this is still the case for millions around the world, these are real motorcyclists not the crowd that have $1000 helmet,$2000 leathers and $30000 bike the take to a mechanic to pump up the tyres and then they only ride to the local cafe. So he only has a $100 helmet, he's made some effort.

Oh and when you pull on your xyz brand heavy leathers , Armour etc and its really hot , remember more people die from heatstroke than bike accidents anigrin.gif

Nope not at all.Ive ridden 100's of K's miles, X-country,Europe,hundreds of touring trips, thousands of day rides,15 years of riding in Manhattan all year round,in 30+ years, started in my early teens, and the only thing that is important to me is that EVERYONE ,stranger or friend gets home in one piece.Doesn't matter what brand of bike or gear your ride or wear, lotta other good companies other than Vanson.I just pulled out my first street jacket a Fieldsheer tonight stashed in the back of the closet.Inexpensive, but very well made and saved my ass a couple of times. But it is commonly excepted to wear cheap gear as "good enough".I make a decent living now,but for most of my life I was a starving musician that lived week to week, but when I got back into street bikes,I scrimped, saved, worked extra hours, sold junk I didn't need to get quality gear,by doing a lot of research to get stuff on closeouts as I'd seen what happens to people who dont. And this was before the internet. Now you have the biggest store at your fingertips for new or used gear if you can't afford new. That cheap light weight crap that's sold on the web should be banned, but most people look at price as how to judge value.

I wonder if the exhaust on his bike was stock?See at lot of that, upgrades that do little for performance ,but make a nice noise.Yet tires look like that.A friend of mine who's in his 40's did just that, spent a thousand bucks on a pipe yet went on a long trip with friends and guess what?, had a nearly bald tire blow out on him.He was fine but delayed him and his riding mates a day,I always teased him about his gear.Cheap jacket, jeans with chaps, ,and work boots. Finally he bought some better stuff, expect for armored boots.Soon after he crashed, walked away relatively unscathed except for his feet!By the way he thanked me for pestering him.

    If that's snobbery,call me a snob please.

If wearing the best gear you can get, which we all can with a little ingenuity ,saves you, then the end justifies the means in my book :oldgit:

Oh and in all those miles in riding in deserts and +100F temps in NYC I've never had heatstroke.Know what my limits are and make sure I don't push them.Take breaks, drink lots a water! Especially the kind with hops and barley at the end of the day :drink:

Not as easily done as said. I would love a pair of armoured boots. :P: I wear a 10 1/2- 11 EEEE boot. In the states the only one I can buy is a Redwing Box Toe boot that will actually fit. Have you ever seen a set of Sidi's that went to EE let alone EEEE? :huh2: If so please inform me. I will buy them instantly. I am 5'11" tall, weigh 255 am not what you would call fat, but certainly thick bodied. Waist is 42, chest 58, inseam 29". Off the rack clothes, yeah right. Yes I look like the good Lord built me on a preholiday Friday out of left over pieces parts. I would love a full set of leathers, boots, and I do have an Arai Profile helmet. I just can't find theses items to fit. Unfortunatly Omar the tent maker does not make clothes in leather. :(

  15. There's a few Guzzi people, but I don't know of any V11 Sport folks (off the top of my head).

You might contact EP&F Guzzi in Prescott? They might know of some folks.

Or contact the Arizona MGNOC rep. He might know...and would probably go riding...

Go to www.wildguzzi.com There are alot of AZ riders in that forum. It's a great place to just shoot the bull, and learn lots about Guzzi's, all Guzzi's.

  16. If or when will another run of Roper plates be run? I have a V11 and 2 V10's I'd like to put them on.:luigi: What other models will they fit? <_ src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_race.gif" alt=":race:">

  17. There ar ergonomic realities about 21 yr. old girls too.

Think I can get my doctor to prescribe 2 a day? :not:

Don't think Medicare will cover it though. :D

You need to see Dr. Feelgood for that prescription. As for Medicare, just how good is your medicare supplement? :huh2::rolleyes:
