  1. Hello All,

We are having a get together for all interested Guzzisti and their friends at Darkhorse Tavern, 2207 Washington Ave, Houston, TX

The fun starts at 6:00p.m. and runs until 10p.m. Saturday September 12.

Ride a Goose and heft a pint to the folks in Mandello. Guzzi down? Ride anything if you'd like to see some great bikes!

Many of you may know this place from the things next door at Reserve Supply Co.

There is a big parking lot in the back for the bikes and all the BS to follow!

    Salute!

    Ted

  2. Does anyone have the gray version of the "Le Mans" sticker ? Or maybe even just a flat copy of the script graphic? part # 01923490

Trying to get my slightly damaged body work back together and not finding it.

    Thanks,

    Ted

  3. Being new too Guzzi I will say that the guys at Wild Goose are very nice to me.  But I did buy a bike that many in the NE knew of?  I lived in Houston out of college and still work there some but if you're in Dallas look me up.  Oh, glad you made it through the wreck too!

They are usually great about tech tips and the like. I was just a little surprised that not more (3) wrote something encouraging. Oh well, just carry on, eh? Thanks for writing. Don't make it up to Dallas, but go to Austin a couple times a year and of course the Harvest Classic is a big event for the state.

    Cheers,

    Ted

  4. There are some on Fleabay right now I think?  Find Guzzi renew on Fleabay he wrecks them out of southern California.  He will have pegs.  Good guy.  Good luck!

Thanks. I plan on calling later today. I saw the cans and have bought lots of stuff from them for roundheads in the past, so thought I'd give it a go. Thanks for the heads up though.

It is funny, I posted this on the Wild Goose and lots have looked and only three sent some good wishes. Not quite the supportive community I thought it was. Or maybe I expect too much.

Always get good feedback here though. Thanks to all so far who have written.

  5. Thanks guys... will check the Buell stuff and hope some original stuff is sitting collecting dust somewhere. The stock pegs are perfect for me.

other things  needed: Left muffler and hanger

                                        Left bar end weight

  6. I was hit by some **&$#@ last night and they just took off. Bike is not too bad, but seriously need a left riders peg and left mirror. Most of the rest I've been finding on fleebay, but if you've got anything you think I could use, please let me know.  (all left side) Maybe some of you guys that have changed to lower pegs or??

I only have the usual road rash and bruises (as I am a ATGATT guy), but only have minimal insurance, so all out of pocket for a self employed artist.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  7. I think this is the spring that always breaks (pawl spring).

My local parts supplier, Motomecca in the UK, calls it a ratchet spring.

That was my initial inquest on Wild Guzzi and all he help I received from everyone was just great. As many sated over there, it seems to be an every 10-12 thousand mile deal for many bikes and not for others. But with all the help you can get around these forums (and the great people on them), nothing is too hard to figure out eventually!!

  8. I have an '03 LeMans and wondering if there decent options to improve the stock suspension (short of going with Olins), that is affordable. It just does not seem stiff enough to me.

I just had my RM rear shock done by Race Tech this summer and am very happy with it. Take it off send it to them along with info for your weight and riding style. They will rebuild it, revalve it, and install a custom spring for you. About $500 and two weeks. I may get a kit from them this winter for the front forks. Meanwhile I have the damping cranked the whole way in on both forks and the steering damper cranked 3/4 way in and it works pretty good for me YMMV

I tried the fork bit and it is a good deal better and may try your suggestion for the shock when it gets colder here (no winter last year here). Thanks for the advise!

  9. Are you sure that the constant glowing isn't another warning lamp (neutral) shining through? The in tank pump models use a thermistor for the low fuel sensor no. 4 in the diagram

Is it possible to still purchase this part?

  10. Any one want to send some pictures of their prestine Nero or Rosso............. just for drueling perposses. :food:

Drooling purposes ...spelling is not hard, just use the F..ing internet! .. and the black one is the best.

  11. Ive advised Gutsibits and Reboot Spares.

Helen has put notices up on Facebook on various club pages.

    Hope you get her back
