Those Magni fairings are awfully pretty, shame they're so dear. /-)

The Brembo RCS is a sweet piece of kit, I have one on my Daytona. it works well.
I wish you hadn't told me that. /-)

Not mine, but seen on eBay, and surely of interest to someone here:
RH fairing panel from a Tenni, incredibly cheap at £39.99. Claimed to be brand new with a couple of scratches/marks (described).

Good explaination Jeff. The part that really entertains me is this whole debate. MG wanted the valves to be set at 0.006" in and 0.008" ex or 0.15mm / 0.20mm. .
Enthused by this, I set mine to these specs today. Definitely perkier to ride - and the noise!

There's no faulting the build quality these days, is there?

my first (and current) V11
Lovely bike, lovely shot.

I don't get it?!?!?
I think it's pretty funny.

Drooling purposes ...spelling is not hard, just use the F..ing internet! .. and the black one is the best.
Also, pristine.

TBH if you live near Brum, just have a day out to Loughborough
Cheers for the tip.

Room Temperature Vulcanizing sealer ...............Hylomar would be my choice of gasket sealant....
And who'd've thought - for once, it's something available in the UK too.
Thanks - very handy info indeed.

Aw, shucks. Thanks, but it was nothing, really...No, really, I didn't help at all, so it really was nothing
Ah well, it's the thought that counts.
("Shall I?", you thought. "Nah...".)

When I needed one, I bought a thirty pack of Miller high life. I think I was two or three into the pack before I had the perfect sump gasket trimmed out of the cardboard from the thirtypack. Added a little RTV and presto. Hasn't leaked a drop in two+ years and I was able to reuse it again after this springs oil change.
TDF
Dude.
PS what's RTV, please? Answer as if to a technical ignoramus...
(or, someone who lives in Europe and doesn't have your excellent shops)

Adjusted the valve clearances on my 2000 V11 this afternoon. Easy? Piece of piss, as we say round here. Changed the plugs too.
But I would never have done it - I would never have dreamed I could do it - if it weren't for the forums here and the people who fill them with wonderful stuff, so thank you all for completely changing my expectation of what I'm capable of doing and for sharing with the world the knowledge that makes it all possible.
That's all.

The WildGuzzi ones are on the wrong continent.
Pete Roper is working on a pontoon-and-paddlewheel mod as we speak.

.
My preference would be a Cafe Sport.
Dunno if it'd be your thing, but there's a slightly sorry-for-itself Tenni just come up on EBay UK at a modest opening bid price.

Excellent.Thank you for the advice. It is the shiny bits that I want.
Be aware that unless it has been changed out, the Scura will have the single plate clutch.
Translation: 'the one that goes bang'. Or so I understand, thanks entirely to the very wise people on this wonderful forum.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to your forum. The reason I am posting is I am looking to buy my brothers 2001 V11 Sport in candy green. The bike has only 3500 miles and is in new condition. My brother wont take a penny less than $6000.00 for the bike but both banks I have talked to told me the bike is only worth around $4-4500 tops. Do you guys feel that 6K is too much for this bike?
I don't know the US market at all but, for what little it may be worth, here's my three penn'orth:
1. It's probably not worth that unless he's coated it with diamonds;
2. The banks' opinion is neither here nor there;
3. Buying from a family member is a bad idea.

They call me contrary and I couldn't agree more.
Perfetto.

.
Prices seem to vary wildly. None of them really tickle my fancy though, especially at nearly £5.5k.
A tad optimistic, I agree, but there is the problem that one just doesn't see many of them about.

If you're a cheap bastard like me you would make your own.
Ahh, a true Guzzi Guy.
The true Guzzista braids them from his own chest hair.

Does anyone have a view on Bikers World in Coleshill, on the outskirts of Birmingham?
Only if you live close by!!
Boom boom.
-
Oddly enough, I've seen several on Ebay (UK) of late after hardly ever seeing them there before - and not much interest shown in them, presumably because the opening bids were set too high.
There are also several on MCN right now.
