  1. I have a brand new never been used Centrurion Diagnostics kit for sale.

Change of circumstances force this sale.

Bought via Todd Eagan about three weeks ago.

Absolutely as new , no box as he sent it from the USA to the UK.

    These are $450 new.

$300 or sterling equivalent + postage.

  2. Cheers Roy

I have been trying it solely with the Optimizer bluetooth which is baffling me.

I can get a notebook and a usb to serial connection, and possibly try tomorrow.

Could you send me the map please and I'll have another go.

V11 Ballabio , mistral crossover, mistral pipes.

    My email is

    singletrack99@gmail.com

    Many thanks

It has me a little frustrated at the moment - I can sense a large glass of single malt is required......

  3. Hi Jon

Thanks for the call, but I can't get this to work for me.

I have been in touch via email with Cliff( the designer), but have still drawn a blank.

As I said, its just beyond my understanding and capabilities really.

I guess I'll have to swallow my pride and put it up for sale, unless I can find a tuner relatively close by who can fit and tune it etc.

  4. Hi,

I have bought the MyEcu for my 2004 V11 Ballabio, but I am totally confused as how to fit this and get my bike running with it.

I genuinely thought I could manage this, but I seem to have realised that it is a little beyond my understanding.

I live in South Wales, is there anyone relatively close that could help me with the fitting and understanding please?

  5. I have just fitted an oil pressure gauge to my V11.

I have had issues in the past with a Norge I owned where the oil pressure gauge was faulty , leading me to constantly worry if the oil pressure switch was working correctly etc.

In the end it was the switch, but it did worry me at the time.

This lead me to fit the pressure gauge.

I can now see what is happening in terms of oil pressure under power etc.

I can't find any information regarding what are the typical pressures I should be seeing, typically getting 60psi once warmed up and at about 4,500 prm

  6. Just returned from a short tour of Scotland .

Stayed in Creiff and headed out to Oban and Fort William areas.

Good time was had, and a few un tried whisky's were tasted.

I particularly like the Oban single malt and my favourite was the Tamdhu. Can't seem to find Tamdhu locally though - might have to order online.

I visited the Crieff Famous Grouse experience to see what a bigger distillery was like. Found out thatthe distilery at Crieff is used to make the single malt variety for the Famous Grouse group. The single malt distilled there is the Glenturret.

Good informative tour, learnt quite alot about the distilling process on a somewhat larger scale than the Penderyn distillery.

  7. I've only had my Ballabio for a short time, but I took the advice on this forum about changing the gearbox oil to the Redline 80w. What difference.

The box still needs a firm shift, but false neutrals are few and far between now.

Well worht the higher cost of the oil change.

  8. I have just had a pair of the Pilot 3's fitted to my other bike (Triumph Trophy 1200 - 2001), this is a big top heavy tourer.

First impressions are very good, rounder profile, steers much better, corners better and the ride feels more compliant.

PR3 or 4 will be fitted to the V11 Ballabio when the tyres are beyond their useful life.

  9. First ride with the Mistral crossover, definitely a different sound after 3,000 rpm, but the mid range is much smoother and stronger. Much easier to ride, glad I dd this mod, many thanks to the previous posters who siad that this was a good mod to the bike.

  10. Received the Mistral crossover earlier today, now fitted.

    Looks much neater, much lighter.

Still raining and a few too many beers to try it out.

    Tomorrow looks good.

Liking the high level Mistrals end cans, but I'll see how the bike rides in the mid range ( which is my main interest).

  11. I find the speedo working very useful , as the V11 doesn't have a fuel gauge.

I just use the trip meter to remind me when I need petrol. The warning light for low fuel is not very strong, If I relied on the light, I'm sure I would run out at some stage.

I don't ride much at night, so the warning light in the daylight is poor.

I have paid alot more attention to the routing this time, and poured some Redline 80w gearbox oil down the inner cable.

Electric drill on the speedo drive shows the clock to run very freely.

  12. The first speedo cable broke after I had ridden the bike for about 150 miles - it was the original cable.

The new replacement cable lasted about 90 miles, then broke.

Fitted another new one, which seems to be lasting longer - if this is a regular breakage then I'll shift to the electronic versions discussed on this forum.

  13. Hi,

I thought I would give an update on my 2004 V11 Ballabio.

I have really enjoyed the bike since buying it recently - sold my Ducati Monster 1100S as it just didn't suit me, wanted something a little saner.

    So, I have

Changed the plugs to iridium spark plugs

Changed to engine oil 20-50 fully synthetic AGIp

    Changed the rear drive oil

Changed the gearbox oil to the recommended Redline 80w - what a difference that made!

Have tried to grease the driveshaft, but can see that this might take another attempt - may leave to the winter now and remove the swinging arm etc.

Thanks to Rossi46 for helping me out here - great chap.

    Fitted a sump baffle plate

Checked the brake pads for wear

Fitted two new speedo cables ....

    Cleaned the K&N air filter.

Overall its a joy to work on, and a joy to ride.

Will be fitting a Mistral crossover soon.

  14. Denis, I've had a couple single malts that aren't "scotch." The Japanese Yamazaki is very nice, smooth without any bite; reminds me of the Highland Park that classy gentlemen prefer B) . From Oregon, USA, McCarthy's has a bit more of the smokiness I prefer (Even though they threw an "e" into the whisky :o )

The Islays draw me in otherwise - Laphroaig or Lagavulin.

I wonder if the Welsh single malt is in the States. How would you describe its character?

    Hi docc

Have a search for a chap you reviews whisky on You Tube

Search for Ralfy and Penderyn - he gives a very good description. He also has about 400 on line video reviews of single malts.

Will be sampling Jura this weekend.

  15. Hi docc,

Penderyn single malt is distilled in Wales, only about 20 miles from where I live.

I pass the distillery on my way out to Mid Wales, even had the factory tour etc.

My work involves understanding filtration and distillation, I know the people who supply the filters and we have a still in my place of work.

Good Welsh whisky ( I believe it is the only Welsh brand).
