  3. Complete Rack - Moto Guzzi V11 Sport, Le Mans from 01', Cafe Sport, Ballbio, Scura, Coppa Italia, etc.

Rack in great condition. Usual wear. Never down or bent.

The Complete Rack is a combined side carrier and rear rack that accepts any hard side case or top case from Hepco & Becker. The design of the complete rack gets its overall strength from being installed as a unit to the strong points of the bike’s frame. For this reason, it cannot be separated to use individually as a rear or side rack. These racks are made of high quality steel tubing finished in black.

  4. UPDATE-

Took the dash apart to get to the idiot bulbs but all LOOKS okay. But, I found out that the #5 fuse doesn't pop when the #1 relay is removed but the #2 relay stays in place. Not being a sparky, does this help in isolating the problem?

  5. My monies on the Idiot lights

Bugtarget, you can narrow it down a bit by unplugging the different connectors then putting them back one at a time.

    This Schematic is close enough

    http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/schematics/2004_V11_Sport_Catalytic.gif

Unplug the headlight relay (34), i'm pretty sure that will clear the fault

    With the relay back in

See the Red/Black wire going to connector (8) unplugging it will disconnect the idiot lights

The Red /Black wire also goes the the LH dimmer switch and the two brake switches.

It also went to the Voltage regulator on earlier models.

Those idiot light sockets are crap, some lamps short them out, I always throw them away and install 12V LEDs

I first noticed the problem when the bike was running and I hit the horn button. The fuse popped then. I hadn't ridden the bike in a while and thought I'd be okay for a spin through the neighborhood. Well, a half mile from the house and the reg/rec started smoking. I pushed the bike home. Replaced the reg/rec and the bike runs great but the problem remains with the blown fuse.

  6. Hi All!

When I turn the ignition key on the F5 15amp fuse immediately melts. This controls the headlight, horns, etc. Any tips on a place to start or a common issue in this circuit. Thanks for any help!

    2002 V11 LeMans

  7. Hi All!

This bike had been ridden, loved and maintained by enthusiasts. Fuel Injection tune by Moto International last year. Michelin Road Pilot 4 GT tires with decent life left. 54,200 miles. Clean title. The odometer is broken as is the case with a lot of these bikes. I have been fastidious at keeping proper mileage records with the trip meter. I can show you the records. There are external and internal oil leaks. The external is very mild. The internal leak is most likely the clutch push rod seal. This is a typical Guzzi problem. The clutch has slipped on me twice. Both times under HARD power getting on the freeway. I've ridden the bike quite a bit since the slippage without issue.

The bike has many upgrades and after market goodies- Moto Guzzi brand tank bag, K&N air filter, Power Commander III, MPH bar risers, heated grips w/thermostat, center stand, up graded fork springs and fuel pump, Hepco and Becker rack, 30 liter Jr. Flash bags and 48 liter Journey top case with optional back pad, Guzziology 8.0 and factory parts manual.
Extra's include a spare throttle cable, misc. gaskets, Brembo caliper kits, brake pads, oil filter, etc.

    Thanks for looking!

  8. I bought one of Gregg Field when he was posting and at MI. He mention ed to me that if I had the newer bike I would need to remove the charcoal cannisters....mine was older and the cannisters were under the seat and why I think they were the same stand.

    Bob

My bike had the charcoal canister down under but was removed by the PO. I may have to do something about my crossover however. I've got the Guzzi Racing/Titanio exhaust. Any idea if that crossover and a center stand are compatible?

  9. I remember someone saying the after market stand was the same for both bikes. I may be remembering wrong and hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in. Did someone tell you there were 2?

    Bob

Yea, I read that two different sizes were made. I think I read it somewhere on the v11 site. Don't remember.
