A tiny spray of wd40 on the key itself will most probably correct your problem

What model did you ger? I don't see any Guzzi ones, just ducati, yamaha and mv.
Uhhhh , i think you are correct.You can spray lots of spray LUBRICANT in the lock cylinder to get it open. I solved my problem by purchasing an Oberon fuel cap from eBay.
I looked on the box the cap came in..............pretty old but it fits Triumph,Ducati & Aprillia........ If I remember eBay seller had a "buy it now" or "make offer" price... There are MANY to choose from. Anodized colors, styles, etc.
BTW........theses are stainless steel fasteners so don't drop any in the fuel tank. A magnet will not pick them up.I know this from experience.
Thanks. weighing my potions. going to try dri-slide if i can find it. I did get in touch with harpers and they can get a whole locking set for me for $108 or so. Might do that.

I just got a set of pilot road 3's for my '95 model
They feel great compared to the squared off set that were on the bike. I will report back after a few hundred km's to give a better review. For the price, I think they will be the best choice. The other 2 choices we have here in oz is the bridgestone bt023 and the pirelli angel st's. This is mainly because my model has the 18in rear rim
I have had good performance from Continental Conti-Force 120/70/17 front and Conti-Force 160/60/18 rear.
On my third set now. Rear life is about 5200 miles. Front life is about 8000. Very smooth, good grip dry or wet, and a resonable price. I am a sport rider, just blazing around twisting roads for fun. Running 35 PSI front and 41 rear.

The way the bike is currently jetted is pretty rich, so hopefully cross-winds etc won't lean it out too far
I own a Thruxton with pods too and the FCR's will probably find their way onto it too if they work well on the Guzzi. unfotunately I got hit by a car and fractured my leg in 2 places so until the financial compensation rolls in, the dellorto's stay. Here's hoping the cash rolls in soon and I can report back on how the development of the bike goes.
As for the forks, it will be the same - wait for the cash then get serious with the mods, so I'm just collecting whatever advice or information I can gather prior to commencing works.

Hi. Pls excuse my ignorance but I just bought a carb sport that has pod-filters and a full staintune system. i'd love to get the 41fcr's but in reading your info am concerned it will present probs as I dont have a pressurized airbox any more. I'm very interested in how things go with your set-up and any info people can provide, I'm also after some thoughts on how to improve the front-end m1r forks(spring upgrades etc) Sorry if that causes a slight thread drift

rear brake pad replacement

I'd suggest pushing the pistons back using the old pads in place and a large flat-blade screwdriver. That way you cant damage your new pads in any way. Also it can help to loosen the cap on the rear brake reservoir, but be warned - a violent movement of the pistons backwards can result in brake fluid spillage out of the reservoir. Steady action does the trick
