Find a last gen LeMans and paint it as a Tenni yourself?

    what's this crazy talk??

Paint does not make a Tenni.

Haha... in addition to paint, it needs:

    • A number plate on the top triple clamp
    • Two seats (exclusive brown suede and standard black)
    • A lightweight aluminum flywheel, with single-plate clutch
    • Some unobtainable paperwork or certificate from Moto Guzzi
The rest is the same as a 2002 LeMans - or did I miss something? Too bad MG didn't put Ohlins on the Tennis.

Is there anyway to verify it's a Tenni by the serial number?

I think the Marzocchi 40 mm front forks and White Power rear shock are also exclusive to the Tenni.

  3. I've posted on here in the past that I've been dealer with an ongoing and intermittent starter issue with my Tenni. So far I've tried removing the starter and having it checked, running a solid ground, and cleaning all the contacts. Nothing seemed to work until today.

In Guzziology, on page 17-18, Dave talks about some relay issues and a way to start a dead bike. He said to turn the key on, ignition switch off, press the starter, then turn on the ignition. This worked!

Do any of you have any idea what this means? He also mention swapping the two front relays.

  4. It's got to be the starter solenoid. I put it back together and it fired right up. Twice.

The third time it clicks once and nothing else. When the starter is pushed there is indeed 12v going to the spade connector at the solenoid. I checked it. There is also 12v going to the main starter connection.

  5. Yup. The fuel pump does its thing. I've tried cycling the clutch lever while thumbing the starter button with no luck. I'm off work tomorrow so I'll re-install the starter and run the test Docc recommended

  6. If I put the bike in gear and roll it a few feet it will start. This problem kept getting worse until now it won't start at all. A few people have tried to explain it as a "dead spot" in the starter.

Any ideas? I pulled the starter today. Replace?

  7. Okay, if it's alright with you guys and while we're still on the topic of starters here is my issue. First let me say that all connections are tight, I have a new battery, and there is no corrosion anywhere.

The issue is is that when I go start sometimes it will fire right up and other times nothing. No clicking. Nothing.

  9. Does anyone know (or have used) if the Cortech Dryver series tank bags will work on the V11 Lemans? The web site only lists rings for the major jap bikes and BMW. Just wondering if there is any cross over and if it will clear the tank pad.

I have a Cortech Tri-Bag that I no longer use and was going to order a strap mount for that to see if it will work as well.

  10. I have this one (Bags Connection from Germany):

    http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2130/451/

It expands and has two side pockets. Very well made and good looking. Comes with shoulder strap too. The best part is that it is extremely convenient to attach and remove in a second with no residue on the bike other than the ring on top of the gas cap.

I know this is an old thread... but will the EVO ring work with the tank pad on the Tenni?
