Finally had a chance to post a pic of my new to me Coppa

Bar end mirrors.
Oil pan windage plate arrived and will be installed before I ride it any longer. Very hilly here and the oil light flickered when accelerating hard up the hills; not so good.
My first Guzzi after 44 years of many motorcycles. Why did I wait so long?

Here is my Duc. Looks just like yours!!! 6500 miles new and suspension by Rick at Cogent...sweet bike and sad to see it go.

Thanks MZNYC. I am crazy about my small collection.
Actually just sold the Duc. Being picked up in a couple of weeks by the lucky new owner. It sold on Ducati.ms in six hours! With two back up buyers. Loved my Senna color bike but found that I prefer the BMW for traveling and the Moto Guzzi for casual back road rides.
Also have a 1959 Triumph T100 restored by Jim Strait and a 2005 Bonneville T100 customized to look like the old Bonnevilles. My wife recently decided to try the sport and has a Royal Enfield Classic Chrome C5 but will likely move to the 2005 Triumph with a bit more experience.
I bought the Aprilia primarily for track days. Way to crazy fast for spending time on street....

Docc's comments were excellent. I own a BMW R1150 GSA, Ducati ST4S and a recently acquired V11 Sport Coppa Italia. The boxer twin is a great motor for the GSA's mission but as a sport bike or sport tourer the BMW motor is boring and lacking in any personality. I have even taken a new 1200 boxer bike that had thousands of dollars in performance upgrades and found it to still lack character. The boxer handles nicely and the motor has a broad power band but is lacking in attributes I find a requirement for fun. The Moto Guzzi and my Ducati have personality in spades. This is my first Moto Guzzi and makes me smile big time. Lover the torque motor and with the titanium factory exhaust sounds like a big block V8. Handling on my Ohlins equipped Coppa is very nice as well.
I also have an Aprilia RSV Mille R. Yep; character in spades.

The Buell option looks good.
Why can't the pin and spring from the Guzzi just be used with the Buell peg?
Were you able to adjust the brake and gear lever to the lower pedal?
Just found and ordered some great looking Buell pegs on ebay. Here is the link. The listing says he only has one set left. Sportier looking than the stock Ulysses peg but same drop. Will post after I get them.

The one on Ebay is still active. No sale yet. My guess is any sale will take place offline. They should wait till spring.

You should let me ride it this spring/summer to make sure there are no problems w/the bike. I would hate for you to be stranded on the side of the road , etc.......

I am picking one up this Saturday. 4100 miles. Titanium exhaust and ecu. Bar end mirrors and tank bag. Superb condition. Taking it to my New Hampshire mountains home.
An motorcyclist, and casual friend, knows I have a small collection of interesting bikes, told me he had a friend selling his Coppa and I should go see it. Wow. Great find. What a terrific bike. Great looking and top components. A price was negotiated and this one will be another unique and special bike in my garage. My first Moto Guzzi.
I will add a serial number to this post once I pick it up.

Just acquired a 2004 Coppa. Very excited to add this terrific motorcycle to my collection. Came upon the bike via word of mouth and was blown away by the looks and equipment. Hopefully this site will be of help as I learn about my new bike. One of my riding buddies has a Norge and is very jealous of my find. Perfect for runs through the New Hampshire and Vermont roads.

I only stopped riding motorcycles for about five years when the kids were little as I did not have time. The Coppa is my first MG. Started riding on a 1967 Honda 160 Scrambler when I was 17. My list of bikes to the left are current bikes.
Also took care of a bucket list item and went Formula Ford racing a few years back for three seasons. Best result a third at Watkins Glen.
After years of Motorcycles and sports cars (and car racing) I have decided that my retirement years would be focused on the vehicles I love most; Motorcycles. Only thing missing now is a two stroke street bike. Hard to find a good one for a decent price.
