I bought a brand new 2002 LeMans in May 2006. Champagne color. I have about 5400 miles on it now. It loves to exceed the speed limit.

 

I also have a 1986 BMW R80RT (~61K) which I purchased new in Oct 1985, and a 2002 BMW R1150RT (~41K) purched new in Feb 2002.

 

Each one of them is my favorite bike.

 

I live on Long Island, New York and I am a member of the LIBMWRC (Long Island BMW Riders Club), BMWMOA and MGNOC.

Married, 3 kids, 1 grandchild, but I'm not an old fart. In my opinion.

Welcome Don,

 

You're as old as the bike you ride so that makes us all children of the sixties/seventies as Pete will say it's basically the same old ditch pump. Guzzi is a state of mind anyway.

 

Having read your introduction I now know what the dp part of your user-name refers to - I'd obviously been spending too much time on the non motorcycling parts of the Internet*
