Hepco & Becker with High Mufflers- Help

Hi

 

My H & B mounts just arrived for my Rosso Corsa. I just relized that the Mounts are for the stock muffler/pipe setup. Mine had the Titanium High Pipes installed by previous owner.

 

I know I need to install the original bracket for hanging the muffler to fit up with the bag mounts.

 

Any tips for lowering the Titanium mufflers to the original lower positon to make the bag mounts work? I would hate to put original pipes back on.

I had someone who can cut/weld stainless to change the angle of the pipe joints in front of the mufflers to bring them down so the bags will fit. It cost me $150US.

The MG titanium mufflers can be mounted high or low. Pull the mufflers and pipes, install the stock passenger peg/muffler hangers, then reinstall the pipes and mufflers.

 

I haven't done it on my bike but I've seen it done on others. If you can find any pics of member Witchcityballabio's bike I know Doug had his Ti pipes mounted low. I know a few other here did too.
