For now I'll just ride without doing wheelies Really its good to have the bike back on the road. I think I've put 700 miles on it in less than 2 weeks. grossohc Posted June 12, 2005 Author Share Posted June 12, 2005 to get back to rear wheel removal, got the wheel off using the advice posted there was a little rust round the drive cleaned all up and lubricated everything got a new tyre and fitted wheel so am now happy. went for a run now my speedo has quit. Where does the other end of the speedo cable go do i need to remove the tank .thanks for the advice for the wheel I am glad i took it of and cleaned up in there. dlaing Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 One of the possible speedo failures is caused by the pressed fitting at the lower elbow(where the cable meets the gearbox) Solution: disconnect the elbow, and just press the elbow back together and be sure that when you reassemble the spinning square thingy seats itself properly in the the gearbox, otherwise it will force the fitting apart, again...
